I love this recipe... I made it tonight but instead of serving it on a sandwich I served it over rigatonis because all I had in my bread box were some hamburger rolls and I knew they'd never hold up once I put the sausages and peppers, etc. on them. I made the butter and toasted the buns in the over and put them on the side to mop up the sauce. Worked out great for me. Thanks.

What kind of red wine do you use? That's not something I normally cook with, so I wouldn't have a clue what to buy.

@@eatmystars I use something I would be willing to drink yet not too pricey. With red peppers or tomato I like to cook with "14 hands- Juicy Red Blend" or "Fetzer Cabernet Sauvignon"

@@eatmystars Laura has said before that she uses merlot to cook with when she's cooking with red wine. Merlot is excellent for pasta sauces or sausage, peppers, and onions.

You make everything so delicious and with love. I've never made sausage and peppers with red sauce or tomatoes. I have made roasted sausage with sauce potatoes and peas. Made the eggplant parmesan tonight ..your recipe with flour and egg. Came out great.
