Bought it from Manor Hardware in Tacoma around a year ago love it. Bought it to cut entry doors with the guide while it's hung. Worked perfect.

Just bought mine (new, not refurbished) for $499 on eBay. A vendor on Amazon had the same price, but charges sales tax. Both had free shipping. I'm a newb to woodworking and am looking forward to using this.

I've had this saw for almost a year and as a remodeler it has it's uses. Don't think it's the best saw on the planet though. It is a bit fancy and therefore fragile for all day every day use. Mine is still working flawlessly but is just one of the saws I use. In certain instances it is great. Cutting into walls and around cabinets, undercutting jambs, plate cuts and many other uses. I like it although I made it 40 years without it I'm not sorry I bought it. It uses special blades that actually aren't that expensive for the quality and what you get, they are still much more expensive for regular framing and remodeling. Just another saw in the quiver and not the first one out of the trailer. BTW I am one of the favorable reviews on Amazon.

Seen it , used it - was pretty good overall for demo but cant trust the shoe for guided cuts

Really cool saw. When i use to cut doorway and plates. We would use a sidewinder blade. they were illegal, because the blade stuck outside the guard by about an inch. Keep hand and finger away from the blade. Plus kick backs were always dangerous. This saw is awesome.

I like it and am tempted but let's face it I may not really need another saw. Most Skilsaws have the blade on the right and in fact call them southpaws if the blade is on the left. I don't get it I am right handed but I prefer to see the cut so I managed to find a Porter Cable with the blade on the left but it won't do what this saw does. I wish I had the Cuz-D when I put laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms. I had to relieve door facings with a Fat Max handsaw on a cardboard spacer. If I get into a project that needs it the Cuz-D will be on my. list.

Good stuff but to be honest. The split screen drives me nuts. Carpenters are more basic people. Just straight forward one screen hands on. That’s what we like. Great videos though. I appreciate it

Great looking saw, but I wonder about the safety aspects of it. And just so you all know where I am coming from, way back when (mid-80's) I used to take the plate off my B&D Sawcat so that basically you had a blade with a motor attached to it, to make flush cuts in tight spaces. Buried it in my calf one time, so I quit doing that. But now I have been a GC for 30+ years and I have an absolutely impeccable safety record (lowest WCB premiums, no one has ever cut off anything, or broken anything on my jobs - more luck than policy I admit). So I look at that open side and wonder - do tools in the US have to have some kind of UL certification. Is there a safety standard that has to be met? And more importantly can anyone who has been using one for awhile comment on how they feel about using it? Are you super-alert when you use it (like using a chain saw in confined spaces?). Do you feel confident that you cannot get hurt? Just curious.

It may be worth the $570 but it weighs 14lbs! As the cutter of our crew I'm not sure I would use it all day. Only when I need for those kinds of flush cuts

100% this is a remodeler's saw. Biggest use I can see for it is for changing out old subfloor. I still prefer my Fein to undercut jambs. I 100% would not use this for framing lol. My Makita Cordless Dual battery can cut TJI's in one cut. Its also not 17 pounds LOL. Its also cordless. But I do see the areas where this Cuz-D saw could shine. But for the love of god, please change the name of your brand. Cuz-D is a Terrible name.

@TheSmartWoodshop6 жыл бұрын
Robert Cornelius Cuz-d blades are designed to flush cut requiring the bolt to be recessed. All other blades would cause the bolt to stick out.
@sundown7985 жыл бұрын
Exactly! This company should of thought of options. Especially the blade being proprietary. They go out of business you have a $500 paperweight. Reminds me of when Steve Jobs wanted his own "twiggy" floppy disk format. That failed. Then that Juice machine Juicero Machine that failed too. Stick to blades sizes you can get quickly at your local hardware stores lol!

@noconz07276 жыл бұрын
My review is it's heavy as hell and it's not always best to have one tool that does it all. I'd rather have a couple dedicated saws than one expensive one that does everything. The one thing it does that others can't is flush cutting. So if you need that then go for it.
@prf45106 жыл бұрын
Noconz0727 MC you can flush cut with a $60 toe kick saw from Harbor Freight

@Therealphantomzero6 жыл бұрын
Robert Slack how do you like it
@GauchoWoodworking6 жыл бұрын
Therealphantomzero I’m about to use it in my log cabin in Colorado. The application is to create a gap between my plywood and logs to slide the drywall in the gap. I like to install plywood over studs and then install drywall... I’m the king of overkill
@bbperez63616 жыл бұрын
That's a heavy saw
@Therealphantomzero6 жыл бұрын
Robert Slack oh I have to see that could you post a video when you can?
@GauchoWoodworking6 жыл бұрын
I will do that ... Thank you for reminding me. I'm basically going to ride the plywood walls (that cover the joists) to create enough space for the drywall to fit perfectly inside the logs. I hope the saw cuts deep enough. I have 10" logs ...
@gdizzzl6 жыл бұрын
525 dollars. ... Not worth it for the amount of times i need a flush cut. Use a sawzall or use a fein saw. I can buy a bigfoot for 325. Great video besides

Very impressive, but $1,200 is a little outside of my budget, even if it can replace seven tools that I already own. I guess this one's going on the wish list.

That's actually reachable, Ron; thanks! But, you probably want to talk to Amazon; searching for the Cuz-d 7-in-1 brings up that $1,200 price tag, instead.
Somewhat similar tool. Seems a bit safer, though does less things. www.lamello.com/product/montage-renovation-de-fenetres/tanga-dx200/

OU812 I just thought it was funny he said "a tool I guarantee you've never seen before". Then you see like a dozen comments of people who have seen the saw, used the saw, or tried to tell Ron about this saw last year.

$1,200 on Amazon
@TheSmartWoodshop6 жыл бұрын
It is $499 on Amazon. Jake has a few pallets just delivered to the Amazon Warehouse, but they are not showing in inventory yet. The higher priced saws are 3rd party and that happens with everything on Amazon. Just keep an eye on the link I provided and note the vendor is "Top Tool Trader" and fulfilled by Amazon.
