I’m honestly floored at the fact there hasn’t been a product in this price range. There’s almost too many “cheap” ones that do handle the main stuff at a hobby/weekend warrior mechanic but to get a tablet style with a large screen and do the things the big boys do without dropping $1,500+. Of course we all want the $4-5k one but that’s nowhere near what’s affordable for anyone that doesn’t have a shop. Glad to see a product like this!

I have the autel mx808. It's the best i have had. But i have complaints about it. Maybe I can find someone with one of these from Topdon, who as a company i really like, to see if they resolve the issues i have with my autel. They are about the same price.

I don't have much experience with the Autel but have used their stuff a few times, no really complaints but I have become a big fan of the Topdon products over the past few years so its definitely worth checking out.

@@Howtoautorepair That's a good question. I have a Topdon Phoenix Lite 2 and I struggle with it. Having said that, I do not have a good internet connection, so I'm hoping that is my problem. When I first received the Phoenix 2 I was not able to register/activate it because you need a good internet connection. (I have internet, but apparently it's too slow of a connection). I went to a McDonalds, and it was still a pain to activate. Topdon responded to my inquiries and was able to activate it from their end. Also, without a good internet connection it will not "find" your vehicle so you must input the vehicle information manually. I've noticed that with several of my selections the unit responds with it not being able to extract the information. I'm hoping this is due to my slow internet connection. I could not find fuel trims no mater how hard I tried. I'm sure it's just me and the info is there somewhere. I have no problem with my $100 scan tool reading long and short term fuel trims, graphing O2 sensors, etc. Twice I inquired asking Topdon how to access the fuel trim info and they never responded. Keep in mind, the unit does not come with a single instruction. Maybe the other brands don't as well. There is a video from Topdon on KZbin showing the millions of selections and test you can run, but he doesn't actually run any of the tests. Maybe all of those tests only work on newer vehicles, but very few work on my older vehicles. 2006 Ford E450 and 2007 VW. On KZbin you will see several videos stating what the unit CAN DO, but this video from TopLineRacer is the first one I have seen that actually shows the unit performing tasks and how to access them. I'm sure it's just me and I need to spend more time with the unit, but I'm going to wait until I have fast internet. Botton line from my little bit of experience: You need a fast internet connection to get the unit to perform, and the newer the vehicle the more Topdon options you will be able to access. I'm glad so many videos say they are impressed with it. .

@@roysimpson2126 Faster Internet for What? Unless your registering a product or doing updates, what does the internet have to do with connecting to the vehicle. Are you referring to connecting to Google to use the internet from your WiFi home router at a distance?
