@@Techtabletsjust use a plastic ruler, and film it next time. It’s just really a test for artists to see how good the line control is, not how we draw straight lines. Most stylus’ have gotten infinitely better, but so far the leader is still anything Wacom EMR with this. Pressure sensitivity isn’t that important. Most animation studios don’t really update their Cintiqs and still use old 2048 pressure pens, the line control is important. And that’s really about the sensors inside the screen, and how the pens interact. Screen protectors actually make it worse. There is a free software you can try called MediBang, many artist reviewers use that. Sadly they don’t have the access to the volume of tablets you have.

Chris, your review is balanced, insightful, and reflects the typical usage scenarios. The overall system efficiency seems to have improved, given that the 2024 12.2 Matepad Pro sports the same chipset as the 2023 13.2 Matepad Pro. Huawei should have used their Kirin 9010 chipset, but hey, this could be due to yield issues at SMIC. However, it's disappointing that there isn't a 16GB RAM option available for the lower storage tiers, and that the device still uses UFS 3.1, while supporting Bluetooth 5.2 only. On the screen, is it a dual/tandem LTPO OLED with a 1-144Hz refresh rate, or is it the standard dual/tandem OLED with a 60-144Hz refresh rate? Hopefully, Huawei might introduce their 2024 Matebook E lineup with the same 2-in-1 design as this tablet, equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus/Elite chipset running Windows OS. A 2-in-1 Windows on Arm device with a 12.2-inch 3:2 aspect ratio and a weight under 1kg, including a keyboard cover and pen, would indeed be appealing. For fun, I asked CoPilot to rewrite the above with a 'tongue-in-a-cheek' tone: Chris, your reviews are like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee - just the right balance and depth. It's always a treat to tune in because you mirror what the average Joe and Jane would experience. Now, onto the tech talk - the 2024 12.2 Matepad Pro is sticking to its chipset guns from the previous year, not jumping on the Kirin 9010 bandwagon. Maybe it's SMIC playing hard to get with those yields. It's a bummer that the 16GB RAM club is VIP only for the higher storage models, and we're still partying like it's 2021 with UFS 3.1 and Bluetooth 5.2. Screen-wise, are we looking at a dual/tandem LTPO OLED that can go from 1 to 144Hz faster than a chameleon changes colors, or is it the regular dual/tandem OLED that swings from 60 to 144Hz? Fingers crossed, Huawei will roll out their 2024 Matebook E series with a 2-in-1 vibe, sporting the snazzy new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus/Elite chipset running Windows OS. A lightweight 2-in-1 Windows on Arm gadget with a 12.2-inch screen rocking a 3:2 aspect ratio, all under 1kg - including a keyboard cover and pen - would be the tech equivalent of a Swiss Army knife. Handy and stylish!
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
16GB with only the larger storage option is common practice with most brands sadly. UFS 3.1 as the chipset doesn't support UFS 4.0. It is LTPO OLED so it should go down to 1hz right up to the 144hz. As for using the Snapdragon X Elite that would be perfect but they can't use Qualcomm chips now, unfortunately.
