Scribing has turned out to be exactly what I had hoped for, a way to close the gaps in builds that otherwise lacked something you wanted or needed either due to class pick or bar space etc.

I haven't looked into it myself but I've heard it's going to be annoying and expensive gold-wise, and you won't have access to everything after doing the Scribing questline, you'll still have to do dailies to unlock all the scripts

I am very excited about scribing. I do hope they address some class identity issues it may bring. But I've just started getting into trifecta trials, and a lot of the abilities look awesome for customizing load outs for each encounter!

it has the potential to be best in slot tank for scorepush groups because of the class mastery thingy, you can basically spec it like a dd and have tank resistances

Major Breach has lots of other sources so by putting it on Wield Soul you're not adding anything because that debuff was already present, Major Cowardice and Vitality on the other hand are quite rare

immortal templar Brass Fortress + some other resistance set ( i used grace of gloom) and add class mastery easily hit nearly 90k physical and spell resist i can see it reaching 100k lol

I’ve got another question for you. Is it possible to solo tank last boss in earthen room on an Arcanist tank. If so, how to survive the breath. Being at resistance cap isn’t helping. Flare on front bar doesn’t help either. Immovable also isn’t changing much.

I use the spell wall s&b ulti with bracing anchor CP. you can just stand and relax while he's doing his breath... Maybe do some heavy attacks to charge up your stam for when the ulti falls off...

Make sure you're using On Guard CP with Immovable, don't spam Impervious Runeward and instead keep the Crux for its passive damage mitigation and heal yourself with Runeguard while blocking. Try to use Destructive Clench right before the breath starts. I'm unsure about the calculation atm but you might need Defensive Stance to reach the block mitigation cap

Don't forget Bracing Anchor red CP Also if you really struggle you can use Eternal Yokeda set. It will heal you up and also give you 100 ultimate which you can then use to use a Horn or whatever. The downside is that it only helps you 50% of the time because the cooldown is 1min

2 hand tanking is already godly if you use the cleave damage shield, and you can hit up to 30-60k in about 2 good strike

Yes but it has shorter range than Void Bash (8m vs 12m) and it's made of Soul Blast which is better used as a damage shield and source of Minor Courage

I think class skills should always be stronger than scribed skills. If scribed skills replaces the class skills then they're too powerful.

If you put a couple on there to complement the class skills in areas where the class skills are lacking it's fine. But actually replacing the class skills, then you'd have to wonder what class skills are for..?

No aoe taunts

Since literally DAY 1 they have said they do not believe that AOE taunts should be a thing. Their design philosophy is that a trash pack has a few dangerous mobs and a few that are rather harmless and tanks are ONLY supposed to deal with the dangerous ones through taunting, the others are getting controlled through root/stun or similar abbilities. This has potentially been the most consistent thing about ESO combat design over the course of 10 years. There has never been any indication that they would swap stance on it. Frankly, I agree, by doing it this way DPS have to be aware of their surroindings instead of just shouting at the tank when a random mob killed them, because it wasn't taunted. If nothing else, no aoe taunt means on average you will have DPS players with more situational awareness that know that block exists, when needed in an encounter.

And realistically aoe taunts are only needed in vet trials as mobs hurt most there. The power creep had gotten so op that even dlc vet dungeons are most efficiently runned with 1 tank and 3 dps set up. You do not need to taunt anything other than that one big hitter when everything around it dies with 5 seconds.

It seems like every tank class will look the same now. Additionally, as usual, players will also use the “meta” builds they see on KZbin. I think this update is far from creating diversity in eso. And if all this scribing is put behind a paywall, everything will be great.

That chain was the 1st thing I noticed that works like frag/ig shield with reduced costs crazy when spammed, stamina flies up and I like the animation too
