Its been a while since secondaries have been this good in world of warships. I'm disappointed they had to nerf the old ones so much just to release this a few months later. But Schlieffen really is amazing.

@@abdiganiaden yes but GK with a capable captain is devastating. its main battery is constantly underestimated by opponents at medium range and when engaged properly will finish the match as a juggernaut

@@HCShuffle with schlieffen you have to constantly be on the lookout for fighting battles outnumbered. Use her concealment to escape. Otherwise you’re a wet paper bag

This commentary is a great example of why these ships are no powercreep for the original german BBs but an alternative. Well done to WG for that.

I doubt that anything German in the game would ever be capable of being accused of power-creep :| Maybe that weird CV with the skip-bombs like the Russians get.

@@vtr0104 I think you misunderstand "power-creep". It means everything else is new and slightly better. Over time, the older ships are no longer on equal footing. They've been "crept on by new power." Yes, the old German DD and BB lines have been generally agreed to be power crept. Same as Zao, which is why probably why she got 2 recent HP buffs.

Despite adding this new line, another completely new tier X top-of-the-line ship and turning the GK into a Coal ship Wargaming missed its opportunity to me for buffing these ships just that little to make them at least competitive. German ships are meme ships at best that make fun playing them if things go your way but they are completely out of meta by being hardly competitive. I can hardly say „well done“ to that.

I think the ideal is a schlieffen following a GK buddy in. GK tank, Schlieffen torps, unrelenting zone of secondary death.

I agree, its squishy and a carrier magnet, but holy gucamole when it goes off it goes off. i went from 10k damage to 200k damage in less than 4 mins in one engagement.

Thinking about playing up the British BB line or the new German one. I have Bismark and I just finished Montana and Gearing. I think I might play up the new German BB line after I get Luthens.

This thing feels like a BB made in Ultimate Admiral Dreadnaughts more than anything. If I had to say why, its probably the rear turret being so far away from the rest of the Citadel components like the engine spaces and other turrets.

One drawback the Schliefen has is that you need to spec ihfe for the 105mm secondaries to pen 32mm, wich you dont need on gk and preussen. Without ihfe a high dpm cruiser can just outgun you nose tanking.

I'm still stuck with my T7 and can't really bring myself to play it. It's not because she's a bad ship, but because T7 MM is a nightmare. Out of 15 battles, 14 were T9 and one single was T7 only. Kind of frustrated and thinking about skipping it.

I'd really appreciate a video on how to counter schlieffen divisions. Literally everything I come across a competent division of schlieffens my team just runs away, loses all map control and inevitably loses terribly 😔

One interesting captain skill I saw another schlieffen player bring up was brisk. Considering the schlieffen's good concealment, ambush playstyle, and high base speed, could it be worth taking brisk to get up to almost 40 knots of speed to close into brawling distance faster?

GK needs 13km secondaries and the original health pool, whatever that was, it wasnt insanely more than it is now. Republique can have 12.2km secondaries, GK deserves at least that, and then some.

At first the hp pool made me worried because colombo in the same tier often eats weird pens from a perfect angle making it’s low health pool and short range a detriment in utilising it’s great SAP. But, it’s German. And German steel doesn’t surrender to shells.

Secondaries of the German BB "main" line are still decent, what should put them apart from the new line is their being more tanky... However, since in WG vocabulary tanking just means being a damage piñata for he spammers and CVs, they should consider buffing the main guns of the original German BB line. With Preussen they are going in the right direction, since it has good overmatch capability and a good reload time.

Schlieffen's AA is not weak. The only bad part is the range. With the reinforced sector, it gets 588 continuous.

I wouldn't call Schlieffen a glasscanon tbvh It's armor is pretty good, so it can tank dmg, just not for long simply becoz it doesn't have sustain power becoz low HP, less heals and limited dmg con. This thing can tank enough to kill and shit and gtfo, restore HP, get in, and do the same. That's how I'm currently play my Heinrich and its really effective

Man, I don't know..... it's got the arguably the worst health / armor of any Tier 10 battleship. This is an Odin with worse armor and some more hit points. Maybe fun in situations, but I wouldn't expect it will get played much outside of randoms. This thing just gets REKT so easy. Will never be used in Clan battles and rarely in Ranked.

Instead of same ‘addiction algorithm and formula’ illegal in online gambling, we’d like to see ‘historical’ WW2 naval campaigns, scenarios and battles where we play same nation Is Germany vs Britain and France vs Italy anyone vs USSR like Great Naval Battles options. This has NOTHING to do with HISTORICAL even in vessel capabilities only $100 vs $1 arcade games. Dad had us all quit after $1300 credit card bill this year, not worth it.
