The worst thing about Yueyang is that after a certain distance the gap between the torpedoes becomes huge. Yes, they have powerful torpedoes and are hidden, but as I said, after 8 kilometers, even Hannover fits in that gap, lmao.

I have been having a blast in Mode Shuffle in my Shima. Nothing like seeing all those red BBs bunch up then unleashing torps into the narrow passes on Air Ship and Convey.

I've been playing Bourgogne in Shuffle Mode and I love it! I've been having some of my best games in it and having only recently acquired it, Shuffle mode is helping me learn how to survive with Bourgogne.

you should try leg mod, radar yueyang. and buff up the radar as much as possible. :) it feels pretty comfortable playing around islands and such.

YY is a great T10 dd, I play Radar YY, my go to Shima killer, I've only been bested by 1 Shima so far, because I chose to ignore him whilst going after 2 T10 cruisers and 2 T10 BB's, with my deep waters, I was very first to die in that game, but my deep water torps went on to do enormous damage to the cruisers and BB's, so much so that my team won and I was top bote/player. Btw Shima was killed by team mates about 10 seconds after I died. Radar YY vs Shima is the easiest DD vs DD fight there is; shima gets close out spots YY, and when you get spotted, pop radar, YY easily outguns Shima, and radar detects the incoming torps. Shima's massively overrated, it only has low concealment and torp spam, I've got Shima, it's my least played T10 DD.

@@spiderz8144 u can take heavy HE on them without any penalty to increase the HE alpha other than that they r fine they recently got range and reload buffs to the whole line yes they have floatier and lighter shells than even the US light cruisers but reload quick and can get good amount of fires plus the torps r very good

Yueyang is fun, no doubt. But I like Gearing for the ability to torp other DDs. And I also think Gearing torps, with full torp build, are very hard to dodge. Yuey torps are completely undodgeable, but that's not saying much more.

Mb you can play on CV to understand that they are not gods and have more weaknesses than other classes? I do it, and they are not problem to me, mb 1 in 200 games are top games come, but more often there are top gamer on dd who destroy fun for others.

Maybe they aren't God's, but their mere existence spoils the game for surface ship players. Especially DDs. And especially when there are two CVs on each side. Now I think of it - one game today was a classic - the red team had 2 x T8 CVs and 2 x 2 x Kearsages (+ radar). Against 2 DDs, including my Jervis. Absolute sheet show and waste of time playing. Surprisingly, they keeled me quickly, so problem solved. So, put my vote down for game modes without CVs or hybrids.

people hate subs but how is torp dd any better i hate those things, and like he said in the beginning you have almost no chance to react to those things let alone spot or dmg the dd shooting those things. In my opinion worst design in this game ....

You literally just have to change speed and course every 20 seconds to not eat 90% of DD torps, that's the difference with subs. If you struggle with that, the issue is on your side. Torps DDs are probably the worst ships in the game lol
