Fun fact: Chris Evans was inspired by this game when doing the fight scenes for Winter Soldier. The choreography is really noticeable in his fight with Batroc the Leaper.

That just shows this game is something really special, the fact that Chris Evans enjoyed his time on this little tie in that it influenced further Captain America projects in the MCU is wild, a great reason to see this game get a port.

I think Cap's full force punches would definitely kill regular people. Trained boxers have killed people without super strength, so Cap would be in constant danger of doing so. But by superhero genre logic, he mastered the precise amount of force to go for at some point.

Thank you! Back then, this was the first edit I did for Matt back in April and was nervous as hell. To me, I was still very stilted in the edits (if that makes sense). As for the Tekken, I always loved the SFX in Tekken 3.

pretty sure most of them bombed after horrid reviews. I had the hulk one. was sort of fun in a "look how bad it is" way. Captain America is the only semi competent one of the bunch

Iron Man 1 sold well despite the bad reviews, as for the others not so sure Cap didn't do too great cause at that point people assumed the worse so despite it being received better than the previous games it wasn't too huge

Everytime I played that game I’d do a couple missions and if I started fighting the military too much the game would freeze on me every single time. I never fully beat it cus or that, hulk ultimate destruction is still the best ever hulk game by far

The Iron Man 3 mobile game was covered in microtransactions as well, but it was a really satisfying shmup. You just had to tap to shoot a repulsor blast or hold and drag for a beam and mow down AIM goons . You got to fight a bunch of bosses like MODOK and Ezekiel Stane and play as basically every armour model from the film. I couldn’t get enough of it at the time

Ah I still have this one for my old PS3, I remember enjoying this one quite a bit back in the day even though it was basically an Arkham clone lol then again what superhero game wasn’t at the time….actually most of them today still use Arkham elements because it’s just a really fun combat system

When I need to jump down a little ledge higher than 10 inches, the only prompt that comes up is "Land Dangerously." It would take some kind of super soldier serum for my back to not hurt from sitting on the ground for more than five minutes.

Honestly this game rules, the best Sega made MCU tie in game which is pretty sad all things considered since this was Sega's last shot at the Marvel license and man they went out with a bang, like if every Sega made MCU game was as half as good as Captain America Super Soldier then Sega would've gotten the license a bit longer then just dropping it after Cap hit store shelves, I really do hope we do get a Modern port of this brilliant gem in the future, cause there's money in it and the fact it influenced Chris Evans as Cap in the follow up film Winter Soldier for the fight scenes at least might get a better chance than some Licensed games on the market. At least we got a Captain America game in the works right now and so far seems like it will be a good time especially if they manage to capture the magic that this game brought to the table.

It’ll be interesting to see how this new upcoming captain America game turns out. Amy hennig is involved with it and she has a pretty good track record so I assume at the very least it’ll have a good story. I think all we know about it so far is just that it’s a captain America and black panther game set during WW2. I can almost guarantee red skull will be one of the villains if not the main villain and I’m sure there will be some black panther villains too like maybe klaw but Idk much about his rogues gallery

@@jeremyroberts8822 Yeah I can definitely see Red Skull being the big bad, plus Hydra has enough high ranking bad guys to make some potentially great boss encounters, Madame Hydra, Viper, Zola are a few I think of also Klaw playing some part in the plot of the new game is likely since he is a Mercenary also Baren Zemo could show up as well, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Also it is possible the new Captain America game could have multiple playable characters so both Cap and WW2 era Black Panther being playable along with the other two characters one of which being a soldier which could be an easy moment to make some Medal of Honor inspired FPS segments.

Sega and Marvel are like the salt and vinegar of video game adaptations of early MCU movies. Even though I haven’t played any of these movie games since it came out back in the early days of PlayStation and XBOX. I just thought they were unnecessary and pointless to play them.

I feel like Captain America is just a lot easier to make into a game than a lot of MCU heroes because of his powers. He's pretty straightforward. He punch good. He has shield. He throw shield. No flying, no magic hammer, no shooting shit out of your hands, etc. So it works for the same reason Arkham worked. Hell, you don't even have to worry about all the gadgets Arkham has, making it a bit easier. All of which makes making a good game on a movie tie-in budget and schedule way easier.
