I looovee shaved ice, I’ve had a hand-crank one for years, and the hand crank one is great but I have chronic pain so if my wrist, fingers or shoulders are acting up I can’t use it anymore. So I treated myself to getting this and I am sooo excited about it.

u r suppose to place water in the white cup place in freezer..once frozen..then use the machine to crush it...that is why the inside of the machine is the same size as the circle white cup🙂

Is the shave ice fluffy? Or is it like rock crystals more. Edit: I got the machine, and when you freeze the molds it is SO fluffy.

If you push lightly it will be fluffy and soft, if you make the mistake I did of pushing real hard with both hands it will,be crunchy. You have to use the ice blocks not cubes

Hint: The red solo cups used for beer pong etc make perfect sized ice cubes and just run cup under warm water& it pops right out rather than fighting with ice trays. Can be used several times before they crack then just replace them for $1.00@Family Dollar.

Yeah don't read the instructions.... Yo dummy the container is to make ice blocks not use to catch the shaved ice... And you didn't mention that you can adjust the blade for different thickness of ice... Though I set it to the absolute minimum for the fluffliness of ice... I don't like the idea that you need to pressure down, it should be spring loaded like my manual powered shave ice maker... KitchenAid just came out with a shaved ice attachment with a spring loaded gripper, but gave you two different unadjustable blades...
