Love your recommendations! 🤗 I've used ELF's setting sprays for years! I used to just by theirs because they're cheap & good ingredients 😁 Now I buy theirs because I love it! I haven't tried their illuminating spray yet, but definitely want to try it. I'll also have to try some of your other picks! 👍🏻😁

I like the makeup revolution one the Elf aqua primer mist wet and wild but I’ve been sticking to The Essence gym proof one as it’s the cheapest and does the job x

I have sensitive skin and eyes and my favorite is from Milani. The natural finish formula leaves no sheen and isn't matte either. It actually feels very good going on too. :) I've even used it as a primer by spraying onto a damp beauty sponge and pressing it into my skin. Love it! :D

I got the LA Girl setting spray and I swear it’s a dupe for Hourglasses except for the sprayer. I think it’s underrated and I don’t hear anyone talking about it.

I bought the L’Oreal Glow setting spray but I didn’t check the ingredients. It has alcohol in it but man alive! does it give you a glowing face. I don’t use it everyday. I was using the ELF one but I have since found a great Australian made spray which is Sukin Hydrating Mist, alcohol free and all natural ingredients. I buy when it’s 50% off which makes it $5.

I think if you use the spray just occasionally, you're fine. And it might not bother you at all anyway. I will check out the Sukin product you mentioned. :)

I don't think it bothers me in small amounts. But it makes sense why the whole 'just smear coconut oil on your face, plan didn't work so well for me! My lips are the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in JK Magic. :)

Just found this video, was already looking through my products for alcohol and fragrance. I looked at my 3 bottles of all nighter, noooooooo. Can’t believe it. Thanks for this. Ive been wanting to use a setting spray but afraid ill breakout. I have sensitive acne prone skin. So I might have to try the essence one you talked about. Does it have a good sprayer and does it take away a powdery look?

The job of the setting spray doesn’t change because of the finish. Matte or illuminating is a finish of the spray after it dries. Sprays vary in their performance most definitely. But that’s why I chose these because they sety makeup and because I like the shiny finish.

That might have been a theory years ago, but it seems more companies are moving away from that, and probably even makeup artists are learning that it can be otherwise.

I don’t think it’s coconut water that clogs pores, it’s coconut oil that’s pore clogging.

Olivia D you are right. I do think for some anything coconut can be problematic or they don’t prefer it.
