Hey Hammer, i normally dont comment on YT, but for this i have to. I struggled a lot with my HB Setup, it was just to twitchy and aggressive, and the rear end was loose, i had no fun driving it... BUT with this setup from you, i can drive like a pro my laptimes improved like 5 Seconds and i now have a LOT of fun driving this car, thank you so so much for this 😊 Greetings from Germany my friend

Question Hammer.....I have had my rear drive shaft pop out of the diff cup a few times randomly (especially on a hard crash lol)and was wondering if you had ever experienced that before...I am pretty much running your setup etc. with a touches of my own but i have to say setup is awesome so thanks for all the videos keep it up really enjoy them.

Thanks for the kind words. I've never had a driveshaft pop out and I've had some terrible crashes. However, a close friend did, but I think his was bent before it happened.

okay thanks for reply...it happened once thought it was diff cup changed it plus rear arm for the next race never happened again...this weekend it popped out again so need to really see whats going on.....thanks again from Bermuda!!! where you have a strong following of most of the 25 club drivers that race here. Team HB Racing dominates the podium most race days lol!!

not to go back to this but a fellow racer who was having same issue found some 93mm (part# 204446) rear outdrives do you run those? or the stock lengths that come with kit at 91.5mm?.....having the 93mm outdrives seems to me on paper that should fix my problem any thoughts
@TheHammer
@TheHammer Жыл бұрын
@@christopherosborne1424 sorry. I thought you were referring to the rear center shaft. I do run the 93mm rear shafts, but have only been doing it since last year's black Friday sale. I ran the stock ones for a long time and still run them on my ebuggy. I have never had one pop out. Maybe I have been lucky.

Those are DE Racing guards for the older 812 I think. It takes a little bit of dremel work, but they work great!

not sure if you mentioned your clutch setup and whether you use any brass, we have tried the brass hubs which have been effective if needing a bit more traction.

I use the stock clutch setup. Haven't tried adding weight yet.

@@TheHammer I have tried the reds 4 shoe but actually ended up going back to the standard kit 3 shoe. WE used the brass hubs at the HB race in France back in 2019, which really helped as the track had varied traction. Interesting you've gone for the option internal gears, as not considered that, it might suit the US style tracks more than our EU style tracks. Thanks for sharing your setup and insights, good luck with the racing

I can. It may take a little time, but I'll get it in there. Yes. I run pretty much the same setup on my e819rs, but with bladders in the shocks.

Next time you get a new chassis, go around to cabinet shops and or countertop companies. Get some scrap plastic laminate. Glue it to bottom take off rear anchor skid plate.

Hey! with 2dot over on A-block and B-block 5dot / 2.8mm, then it will only be 7.2 degrees kick-up. how does it work on bumpy tracks? have never tried it myself but became curious :-)

My car works great on bumpy track with this setup, but keep in mind this is also with the 20deg caster blocks, which will help with that.

@@TheHammer Thanks man! I too run the performa honeycomb bladders and like them better than emulsion. We race in the evening, and my car gets looser as it gets darker and the dew comes out.
