What is the difference between a 8 euro single compound wheel (say powerslide infinity II) and a 22 euro one (dual compound, Matter G13) - maybe you could do a vid where you try them out at different speeds? I mean there is a lot chatter and theory but I have not seen a head-to-head comparison...
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
An actual comparaison would be interesting! I can tell you without further tests, that the difference would be immense. The rebound and flex offered by a quality hub/rubber allows you to skate differently with a whole different flow and capacity to produce power. If I was to estimate the difference in speed, between wheels I have actually tried. I would say that MPC Black Magic would be 0,5-1 second faster on a flying lap (200m track) when compared to the MPC Street Fight that sells at around half the price.

Yeah the difference is so big, with the 8 euro wheel you feel you go slow asf, I've tried it and it's the worst wheels I've ever used, not recommend it, it's shit wheels

Thanks for the wheel comparisons and insights. I was wondering how do you categorise the Tltf festa Q3 110 mm. I am using them only for outdoors and they are super grippy even on wet roads, super comfortable and give a super nice energy return on the side push. Thanks.

Hey guys. Great video. You guys forgot the alloy core wheels like famus wheels.
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) We decided to not review those in this video, as we aimed to give our "best picks" for different purposes and different skaters. We don't find alloy wheels to be ideal for any specific surface or group of skaters :)
@aussiemoolay85894 жыл бұрын
@@thorupviktor thanks for the reply. Its weird tho how the alloy cores kept getting sold out these days now compared when it was firstly released. But hey. Each to their own.

Are the bont avenger wheels any good
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
That comes down to personal preference. they have a high rebound score, but are stiffer than other hubs. The more immediate response, might not suit some skaters. The roll should be good, but I can't tell if that makes up for the weight and the extremely annoying process of mounting bearings in an alu hub :p

What about bont red magic?

If only skating on road where the asphalt standard is good-medium and my weight is about 82kg, would Matter G13 F1 be a good choice for both 110mm and 125mm?

I just bought some mpc blue magics, do you know how long they will last? Ill skate 4 times a week on average. Its my first time on the good wheels.

Is there a wheel made for really bumpy asphalt to reduce vibration? I don't think skates are a factor so much.
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
I believe it's a combination.. But yes, there is. Just about every wheels categorised as "Firm" og "F2" will be softer and absorb more vibrations :)

Hi Viktor, 1) Can I say that 88A wheel is more faster than 85A? Is it the true equation. 2) What is double layer wheel and what is the benefits?
@thorupviktor4 жыл бұрын
1. No. That comes down to multiple factors. (Skater, surface, distance, skills, temperatures etc.) 2. Improved flex/rebound. The rubber has a different center than the external rubber.

Hey. This vid is informative! I've been trying to research for a vid like yours that informs the stuff in this vid. 👏 🙌Your breakdown for sure is similar to the vids from Doctor Ethan! Dr Ethan's explanations are actually insightful and he actually helped me on midterms! You should check his page out and give Dr Ethan a like! ➡️ #DrEthanEducation
