The R1 is so darn good. That, a Keeley compressor and a looper are all I use in my pedal board (with an acoustic/electric guitar). Tiny board with tons of versatility.

Great video, Josh! I actually have a D1 arriving today 😁 I'm excited. If you get a chance, you should try out the Neunaber Immerse MkII reverb. It doesn't have presets, but it's a really great sounding stereo multi-reverb pedal. Neunaber's "WET" algorithm is one of the options, and it's excellent. Another pedal I'm really loving is the Wampler Pantheon. Bluesbreaker style pedal with a lot more versatility and gain on tap if needed. Mainly using it for low/mid gain stuff.

I'm going to second Neunaber reverbs! Their Illumine is a great option for anyone wanting bigsky-esque capabilities in a smaller footprint.

Our boards are somehow related. Loving the D1/R1 combo, although I’m going old school: mono to mono to front of 100W Soldano. 🫣 I’m also an always-on compressor guy, but a few years ago I switched my compressor to last in my chain, and never looked back. Nice video.

Hey there, great demo sounds, especially the intro. What does your R1 connect to as stereo? your audio interface on 2 channels? or some kind of junction box? Also how does this sound so wide in headphones? did you hard pan them left and right in your DAW? Thanks

You should check out the Avalanche Run by Earthquaker ! It’s a reverb/delay that can do almost anything
