As soon as I saw a Pikachu was number 3 I had a feeling Diddy Kong would be number one. I started with your top 10 worst as it showed up in my recommendations, but then decided to watch this one as well. I guess I just was really surprised to see Sonic make the list because I remember him being at one point really low in Brawl but I guess he just kept improving in that game and yeah he's amazing in four and ultimate. Despite Sonic being not as good in Brawl, somehow playing as have came naturally to me since I first unlocked them day one March 9th 2008 when raw first came out at midnight. My friends and I played for 10 straight hours and unlock them that way. He's been my main since brawl even though my main fighters before all I'd say quite different. My voice to text keeps getting the words wrong. Anyways congrats on getting the 15,000 subscribers! I got there last month and hopefully that momentum will continue

Very well made video! I like that you tried being objective, though I do have to say that I'd prefer to see a less mathematical take on this for 2 reasons. 1: Strats get nerfed and/or banned over time. This especially hurt Ice Climbers, bc they would have probably been #1 in Melee if it wasn’t for the wobbling ban. 2: Reason I think Fox and Pikachu are by far the best characters in the series is precisely because they were in more games. That should be rewarded, as they're "risking" their throne more often than Diddy did. Same reason why someone who wins 1 P Tier and never shows up again would not be ranked #1, and it would instead go to the guy who got 2nd/3rd place in 5 different tournaments.

And although I personally agree with the thought that more games should be rewarded, the example of winning 1 P tier is exactly why I didn't include Cloud Snake Steve etc. With that example of Lumi Ranks, people actually are buffed by doing well at a few majors and then stopping, just like Diddy is here. Obviously you can't go to just 1, but the less you go to the better you get ranked, as long as you go to a minimum amount and do well

Props for that, I just always tried to make by feeling and as you said, my answer was always theoretical Diddy, but due to Fox and Pika being consistent over 5 games I was always in Team they get number 1. Is there a way you could publish the entire list of all characters that were in 3 or more games? I guess you did the math for all of them? Maybe in the description or a link? The best player for Smash 4 Pioneer Diddy Kong when he was nerfed after being broken for so long, and Fox is by far the best character to ever pick up if you play very fast with his combos and his kit works out so well. I love Fox as a character to be picked up as a secondary. I mainly go with little Mac because he fits the style of going fast but trades with power than weak moves and recovery. But players have figured out that little Mac has a lot of tech behind him to be unstoppable.

i knew Diddy Kong would be #1 even though he's only been in three games. all of his placements are in the single digits, which is crazy. i think if you ran this formula for bottom tiered characters, Zelda (Shiek notwithstanding) might actually end up worse than Ganondorf. Zelda's been bottom 10 in all of her appearances. Ganondorf's alright in Melee, at least.

I expect Fox because not only is he the best in melee but he's been pretty good in other games as well, same with Falco. Also Pikachu because no 1 in smash 64 and fairly good rankings across all other smash games except brawl but not even that bad. Shiek has been pretty disgusting too in all games except ultimate, so she's also in my predictions. Last but not least, Diddy Kong, amazing in brawl with two bananas, amazing in smash 4, fairly good in ultimate.

Y'know what's reallu funny about Brawl Pika and Brawl Fox? While their ranked 8th & 15th respectively on the American Tier List, The Japanese Brawl Tier List ranks Brawl Fox at 7th and Brawl Pika at 22nd. I lowkey understand them ranking Brawl Fox more highly as I personally think 15th is *not* where I'd rank him. Not just cause I think his actual kit itself is sevearly underrated, not just cause of players like TKD, Trevonte, & Yui, but *especially* after considering M2K's own experiences in Japanese Brawl tourneys that he attened during Brawl's lifespan (he talks about this on his Brawl Tier List video on the MVG channel) but 22nd for Pikachu is insanity to me... were there NO Japanese Pika's over there? Was ESAM really just hard carrying?
