Where did you park? I'm confused. how far out did you go in the ocean and where did you get your snorkel gear? thanks

Great questions. There is a small (6-8 car) lot at the top of the bluff...to the left of the sign. You have to get there early or have someone drop you off if the lot is full. I was also told that you could pay one of the resorts at the top of the hill to park in one of their lots, but that is unconfirmed. The break is about 100-150 yards off shore. The best snorkeling is 20-75 yards out. There are several great places in Hanalei or in Wailua to rent gear. Around $10-20 per day. We brought our own gear in a checked bag.
