We love SnapNrack! We use UR-60 for most roof installs. Check out the S5! Solarfoot for corrugated roofs. Its got 4 screws that you can put into sheathing or strapping and butyl tape to seal everything up. A real time saver for most corrugated roofs.

+1 on the Snapnrack system - great for DIY. After a lot of research, I really liked the concept of their metal roof base. Installed 3.6 KW solo in a weekend on my barn roof - no sweat. Super easy to lay out and locks down rock solid with no loose "danglers" after the job. I admire your work and was very glad to learn I picked the right racking system.

The metal roof bases are good. Ive used about 50 million of them!!

i did read his question also. Johnny seems knowledge minded, I want to install a ground mount system for myself. Lic Electrician here, I bought the books 6 years ago and didn't follow through with certification .I like watching yourself and 775 working jobs.

Great video with good info. What do you recommend or use for stone-coated metal shingles like "Decra" shingles installed on a flat deck without purlins?

Another great video DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse This guy makes 30 to 40K a month just from U-tube Any reason with your knowledge that you cant do the same or better? You are out in the field all the time which is even better content to make videos about..

I just need fodder for the KZbin machine. What kind of videos should I make. Give me some requests.

He seems like he has really worked hard at his channel and from what little I gather, he needed the channel the guy was basically homeless. So I’m not gonna hate on him. His setups are good for RVs and teaching and such. But I do want this channel to grow and make $.

Is it possible (or feasible) to put solar on a 12/12 pitch roof?

I’ve done it. We use wallboards/roof jacks/ cranes/ you name it. These days we usually rent a lift

Johnny, I’m designing a DIY roof mount that has many offsets to fit the 16 panels around the peaks & valleys. Is the SnapNrack still your first choice for “non-rectangular” layouts?

Shoot me a pic. Sounds like you need to go to the ground. Ground is my first choice
