You hit it again, Clous. That was my mistake, as I started with the band... I wanted to present myself, so I started shredding. Which was wrong, and I did not 'reach' them, so I needed to learn what the basic is. Shredding around is nice, but senseless if you're the only one who likes to hear it.

great stuff. I think it helps to start with 4 beats of the first chord, then 4 beats of a second chord, and then 4 beats with the first chord (or another chord). first 4 beats = one chord = repeat one lick next 4 beats = second chord = repeat something else next 4 beats = other chord = again something else etc

1:31 ...in the beginning you can do basic stuff like that... basically, play like Jimi Hendrix, really, that was a Hendrix solo, why do people talk about Hendrix so much? Rhoades was way harder to get. 5:00...I agree with you. For me the slower stuff has always come easy, and I have to challenge myself to have a tight technique for the faster improv. If I learn a pre-thought line I can play fast, but to improv at high speeds is more tuffa...
