I am 49, and I grew up in the era of EVH, Randy, Lynch, etc. What helped me a lot was to go back and listen to Page, Blackmore, Hendrix, and even Shultz. Good playing is good playing--forget the year.
@HiredGoonage3 жыл бұрын
@@claypage1089 sorry dude, you aren't a young guy. 80s metal and classic rock are quite different. I appreciate the classic rock guitarists but they aren't on the same level in terms of virtuosity

demartini is so underrated...he should be up there with slash and the other guys. His solos are super technical and tasty

Wouldn't call them " super technical" but there awesome solos .

Tasty is an understatement! Always loved his feel, groove and ability to let 'er rip.

Warren is not underated, he is a guitar god absolute LEGEND, with his own gritty, scratchy, aggressive, crunchy tone.My personal favorite from the era and the most talented. Next to EDDIE, WARREN TORCH DEMARTINI is my favorite guitarist of all time. He needs to come out of retirement it's in his blood and his fans love him. In my humble opinion Warren was the best lead guitarist of any of the hair bands, to each their own. Peace..........

Wow, I only seen them once but it was kind of monumental. It was during the TimeCoast EP buzz before they broke big, I think at the Roxy in L A. Warren left Ratt for some reason & Marq Torien ( BulletBoys vocalist ) was on guitar in that brief time period. Great show

RATT really started rolling in 84 when I was 16 in highschool still one of my favorite bands of all time, Warren is a guitar god absolute LEGEND. Great to see younger people digging the music so many of us grew up on. You nailed Warrens aggressive, crunchy, scratchy, gritty tone. If WARREN ever saw this he would be smiling ear to ear great job.

NICE!!! First saw Damiano Christian play at a Station Club Fire Memorial benefit held in North Kingstown, RI. The band was Ozzy America, and I was BLOWN AWAY by his indisputable talent, amazing stage presence and undeniable likeness to Randy Rhoads. Ozzy America headlined, and when I tell you that every single person in the audience was literally gasping in awe, I promise you I am not exaggerating. And he was only 18!!! Rock on Damiano!!

irocit z they still haven’t hired anyone yet that I know of. What Ratts waiting for you ask? Their manager told me no auditions till the governor of California lifts their gathering ban that’s still in place right now.

@@DamianoChristian don't stop bothering them, if you do that they can't forget. I really thought the lineup with Carlos in the band was perfect, when he first joined I remember thinking Ratt just hit the Heavy Metal jackpot. He stayed in shape, still has the cool hair, plays a Jackson and does it well. All that needed to happen was Bobby to come back, I know he would if they'd let him. Now its all messed up, through the years I've seen every lineup, I even have a Robin guitar pick from the Invasion tour, it has the year on it 85-86.

I eventually was told by management I was too young and didn’t live close enough to LA lol. I was 21 when I did this and already been performing professionally in bands around the country since I was 15 lugging all my own gear and everything. I would’ve done it and made it work for them. I guess age matters though to a bunch of guys who were doing this 40 years ago when they were my age!! Haha

Cause no one young cares about Rock or Metal music anymore. There is ZERO support for Rock in the industry, it's had its day ! Just be happy you got to live in a time when rock music was the biggest thing around. I don't know the future and who knows maybe it will make a comeback in some form but I really doubt it . Just like Jazz , Blues , Classical and Disco it is now a genre for people of a certain age .
