It's been quite some time since my putting my motor in but if I remember correctly we had to leave the trans mount bolts loose until we got the motor mount in place then torqued it up. 90 si with a 95 delsol long block but intake and everything is still the a6 pieces and mine still leans forward on the motor mount (just went and looked lol)

I hear you on the subtle exhaust note. I got a noir on the sedan and it's so nice to have that little bark in the exhaust. Just enough to know something is there but not enough to get on your nerves.

Probably one of the best if not the best option for a daily driver sport exhaust on Honda/Acura. Has such a good clear tone, minimal to no rasp and flows much better than OEM. HKS is also great with the blacked out piping for a more stock, while look offering a similar exhaust note. I love your hatch btw!

I dont know which process your using to install the mounts. I feel like ive had the same problem in the past. Install all mounts to chassis, leave them loose. Then install bolts from mounts to the engine, tighten them all evenly. Lastly, tighten mount bolts to chassis. I hope this solves your problem. Much love and keep up the great content.

you need the two post braket from a 96 -00 civic or the original mount basically. and it does say that . well at least it said that on the hasport. but same issue i fixed with the two post mount. you will know you have the right mount because it will fit in the timing cover with no cutting.

I’ve ran into a similar issue not long ago when swapping an obd0 d15b in an eg. got it bolted up, and the engine was tilted at a weird angle because of the driver side mount not wanting to sit flush like how yours was. Interwebs said it was a common issue since ef engines sit at a slight angle as compared to 92+. However one of my first swaps was a y7 in an ef hatch using stock mounts and post mount and I never had an issue there so idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

So when I had first installed my hasport mounts with the a6 they fit perfectly. When Insintalled the z6 I used the ef post mount and it kinda had a little lean forward like yours does. When I went back to the a6 block for the minime, the mounts fit perfect again. I’m assuming the actual engine block has a tiny difference where the post mount bolt holes are. I think that’s the issue here.

I had a really bad experience with innovative’s mounts and customer service, long story short they blamed me for their product not fitting properly when the pictures I sent them clearly show a faulty/defective product. Ended up being out hundreds of dollars and spending hundreds more on Hasport mounts to replace them and I’d happily spend the money on Hasport again, no fitment issues whatsoever. Point being I’ve found it apparent that innovative does not put the r&d or pride into their mounts like their competitors. Hopefully you have better luck being as you have a bigger voice and more credibility than the average customer. Sorry for the rant, felt the need to put that out there but on a separate note, that lil hatch moves man! Looks like fun and sounds clean, can’t wait to see more. Also, not sure if you’d be interested but I could probably get you a passenger door and fender moulding for cheap. My local wrecking yard has more ef’s than i’ve ever seen in tact in one space and the guy that runs it doesn’t realize what he has

Bro this exaust doesn't exist anymore. My buddy orderd a new one direct and tanabe sold the company to some other company that is making them different. I think the resonator on the new ones suck. It's louder than my other friends true medallion. And louder than my yonaka. Oh and the new medallion doesn't fit perfectly. The tip sits too high and it rubs in a couple different places. Crx

No way, that's terrible. I believe they make the Revel ones now. I've seen a few people on IG I follow who have it.

@@GarageBuiltHondas oh damn thats the one I'm talking about. Yeah revel all over the box. My friends type r swaped crx has gone through two medallions. He got the last one spring time and was a true medallion. My other friend ordered one from the tanabe USA website (revel now) and got the revel version for his crx. We both had zc's in our efs and my 2 year old yonaka was less raspy. Side by side. I b20 swapped last week haha. Should have recorded it.

It's B swapped so it depends on your intermediate shafts. For a stock 91, I'd use any 88-91 with the correct engine configuration.

I can confirm the y8 post mount will not remotely mount up to the innovative steel mount made for the 92+ engines. I called customer service and was told to use the 88-91 post mount with the steel mount with notch. I haven't mounted my motor into the car. But I expect to have a similar issues with fitment.

I'm not even trying to be a dick when I say it sounds terrible. Then again I have a Audi S4 with the 4.2L V8 straight piped all the way back. I also own a 90 EF Si but I've kept it in the garage for the past 10 years. 140k original miles and it's a 5 speed transmission and it's basically in mint condition aside from the paint. Tons of ideas for it but so far I've left it stock.
