Kinda like reminding the kids how my home runs in baseball would be heard before anyone saw it go over the fence. Kids today all use Aluminum bats..That wood sound is awesome. Like a tuning fork for the heart.

My wife and I both have modern Persimmon woods with appropriate Fujikura shafts for each of us, made by Persimmon Golf in Wales in the UK , mine form a fun set with my Titleist ZM blades but she plays here all the time and she also uses AND putts very well using their P3 persimmon mallet putter!

My step grandfather was a carpenter and I worked at his shop as kid during the summer. I made my own wood putter, but nowhere close to as fancy as that one but the head was about as tall. My grandfather teased me and said it was more the size of a driver. Didn't putt worth a dern with it either.

I finally got me a new putter last week an it already paid for itself on the golf course cause yes we bet on every round of golf..ER6 evnroll what i got i never heard of it to i started research see what putter had the most tech of all putters an on myspygolf the evnroll putter has won every year i can tell you it putts very good..it pushes the rules of pga to the max why i bought that one
@hillbillybassfisherman81814 жыл бұрын
oh yea i already started the custom of it..i had to add little shaft..i put black shrink wrap on shaft..i painted the 2 balls on the top..i was trying the 3 line ball marker but dont seem to be perfect straight lines on golf ball it didnt line up with my check n go ball balance line... so i trashed that idea right now..going to put my wrist lock super stroke on it to try or i may just go ahead an try the gravity grip first

Great review Matt !! it would be great to see you do one on the Cure putter .It's supposed to have the best MOI of any putter out there. I'll even get the ball rolling and send them an email asking them to send you one to review !!

Lol you could putt with a block of 2×4 attached to a willow limb and still make putts. I love the wood look and I'm buying one.

If you like that putter you might want to check out "greenwood" putters. They look awesome too. It has 0deg loft on the face with a metal plate at the bottom. These aren't cheap though. Thanks for the review. Any help putting is welcome.

Matt, I have to disagree with you about there’s no sound better than a ball hitting wood. I’ve tagged a lot of houses in my day and there’s only one sound that’s worse and that’s a ball hitting glass.🙀 luv ya man.

Nice non-review review👍 An that is a pretty/classy looking Putter and I loved the alignment aid with the different coloured woods. It would make an excellent Christmas Gift for a sexagenarian living in Manchester UK, who has a beautiful/caring wife and two very generous sons...…just hoping that one of them takes the hint lol

For that price there are a lot of great putters out there, actually for quite a bit less. Can't see myself with it especially since it is essentially unproven while others are ie, Odyssey, Ping, Scotty.......
@slowster29454 жыл бұрын
There are a handful of custom putter makers out there that seem to do alright. Most good players would say that they could "putt with just about anything" so I guess for a lot of people it would come down to how much of an individual they want to be. I like the idea of a wooden putter, but I'd be concerned about it wearing out or getting damaged.

Surely people don’t actually use these, all the machined precision used on putters these days, no way the wooden face would be as precise . And one accidental hard knock to the face it would be toast, just my opinion , nice thing to hang up in the office thoe 👍🏻

Hi there! Love your videos, entertaining and knowledgeable. Fun to watch. Love the sound of golfball meets wood, even played them when I started this crazy game. Had the opportunity to visit Louisville Golf in Kentucky that make brand new persimmon woods (and putters) - "clubs playable today but with a storied past" as the slogan goes. Imagine the look on your friends faces when you pick up a brand new, shining persimmon driver out of your bag! Check them out at www.louisvillegolf.com.

You only used it once and there's a ding in the bottom already. I don't think it's going to last that long, and for that price it's nothing more than a show piece for someone's den. I know golf is a so called "rich mans game" but the price of equipment is getting out of control for the average golfer today. I still use my 35 year old Titleist dead center putter, and I just keep putting new grips on it as needed. My friends are all prancing around the greens with $200 - $400 putters and I still putt better than they do.

Best persimmon wood putter all time way before your Watts is a Louisville. louisvillegolf.com/collections/putters/products/ew-1-mallet-putter You can find them on eBay best feel/sound and I don't doubt that your Watts is done by Louisville. Just a higher taller face. I really doubt that does much IMO. Try a Louisville and compare. Louisville was especially great when the Just family still owned the business.
