Haha it really does. A closed valved s55 usually sounds pretty terrible, but was happy to hear how great of a tone it has with it closed. Perfect for those early or late cold starts or highway cruises!

Going with some hybrid turbos (I have pure stg2+) greatly improves the tone of the exhaust (must deeper/throaty). IMO the perfect combo outside of going with a single turbo setup which gets very $$$$, is hybrid turbos. My setup is PS2+, SSP DPs, AWE mid into AWE switchpath. Very clean and deep throughout the rpm range w/ zero drone, ability to flip closed to keep neighbors happy and power yields that keep trans, diff and axels in their happy zone. It's a win/win - 690whp/650wtq.

It was most certainly at the time. But perfecting it even more with the new muffler. Always in the pursuit of finding that perfection. Never settle until you find what you are looking for. Unfair to just be satisfied and not 100% happy.

Definitely a good sound, but I think it would have been too muted with them on this setup. Definitely would be good, but I would be craving a bit more bark and aggression.

The only way to loose that bees nest sound is single exit or single turbo. I went with valvetronic EL mid pipe to a single exit.

Progress is impossible without change. 99.9% of people buy one part and say it’s the best ever. Hard to find validity in that when they only have experience with the only one they tried. I like to try everything I can to truly find the best option out there. This is a prime example of progress. Fine tuning the perfect sound so you all don’t have to try everything like I do. Providing the end all solution to make it easier for owners.

Most "youtubers" are like this, actually...nearly all, especially those who fuck about with cars and "do them up". Sounds like an S55 still, so ain't no JZ or RB still. A good S55 is a quiet one. People don't seem to understand this....having said this, the car is beautiful, and is far more mature and better on the ear with zero overrun ("burble").

Lose the crackling and it actually sounds tight I feel quite happy i sacrificed Comp spec to get the spec i got in the end. You get a little pop, that's it. No crackles or bangs.

This is not comp/stock burble mapping. I tuned them way down on bm3. I did a video on going over all of the different settings I tried.

Not really sure. The amount of power currently is nearly unusable on the street. Going to flex or upgraded turbos might be cool to have the numbers, but can take away some of the driving experience. I’m all about feel. Not numbers. Right now, the car feels great.

I buy everything and not sponsored by anyone. I like to stay unbiased and steer people in the right direction instead of having a company tell me what to say. Single turbo sounds incredible. But street drivability goes way down. The beauty of the twin setup is proper power across the whole rpm band.
