@@OrthodoxTradition unfortunately not Orthodox. Victoria and Ramiro. Age 77 married for 40 plus years 5 kids. Never a sign of violence or depression, dementia. Just decided one morning to end his life. None of us can understand why. I personally believe it was demon.

Truly He is Risen. It wasn't because of one "simple" mistake. It was a huge mistake. But the important point is that these things don't happen overnight. It was a gradual process until it reached the "inhumanity" of Judas.

I just feel very sorry for him and others - but especially him - because even though he admitted that he sinned- he still lost his soul betraying God Himself. Just the thought of that is indescribable. He was with God every day and yet it still didn’t change him. What hope is there for us? Perhaps the Bishop can at some point discuss repentance at detailed level. Perhaps he’s already done it elsewhere and I apologize for the repetitive question

I was venerating the myrrh bearing skull of St Sebastian of Jackson CA on Holy Ascension last week. Suddenly the scent of myrrh changed into the smell of death, of corruption. I cried out to God and the saint and the odor changed back to myrrh. This happened several times. God had given me Remembrace of Death as a Noetic gift a few Great Lents ago…do you think I should tell this to my SF? He lives far away and I can’t visit him often. I wondered if it meant that my own death is imminent… what should I do? Thank you Fathers.

Yes, you should share these things with your spiritual father. I don't think that you should interpret this event as a message that your death is imminent. We should be prepared every day for our death.

I think it may be demonic when I get mildly annoyed when my older husband gets weak and messes up something or I get scared he’s getting old and I’ll have to do more for him etc… it starts small but it grows into a type of resentment and I lose my charity towards him… Lord of Mercy!
