I really enjoy that axe! It was really nice of Adler to send it to me! I plan to try some of their other axes as well now. I was very confident in that head design before I even used it. It’s a great design! It’s always good to hear from you 🙏

Nice job man you're on the top of it .the first three hits that round was already splitting. Your placement of hits is money, my friend. 💪🇺🇸

It’s much less efficient and more dangerous as well. I’ll continue to split like this as I have for many years, thank you 🙏

I'll say right off the bat ....I may be wrong. If anyone showed me that Adler and asked me what it was ...I would say a maul. I would call anything with that shape a maul. Maybe I'm wrong. The only maul I've used in years is at least 50 years old. I do have about 20 other vintage axes most are felling axes. The splitting axes have slightly thicker cheeks. Anything that has a wedge design , I just don't call a maul. I do like that Adler though.

Yes! We actually do classify this as a kind of hybrid between a maul and splitting axe. We do have "typical" splitting axes as well.

You're a great splitter but you know comparing those 2 axes isnt fair. Bc most would say the Adler you're swinging is a maul despite what they call it. It's a 6.2lb has 8lb over all compare to a 4lb head and just under 6 over all

That’s not a similar comparison, in my opinion. The fiskars is better in certain areas and the Adler is better in certain areas as well. The Adler is better for bigger, tougher rounds and the fiskars is better for long splitting sessions. I believe the maul and axe distinction comes down to more than just weight as well. The design of the head really distinguishes them because mauls have large polls on the back for metal wedges and splitting axes do not. Mauls also have different handles a lot of them time and are blunter on the tip. I give both of these axes a 10/10 and think they are wonderful competitors. The two best splitters I’ve ever used so far. If I used your logic, I would say it’s unfair to compare the monster maul and the fiskars as well. The monster maul is around 18 pounds and the fiskars is around 6. But the fiskars is a much better splitter. It doesn’t just come down to weight, the head design and handle have a lot to do with it as well. So no offense, but I disagree with your logic entirely. Have you ever used either of these axes yourself?

I have wondered how it would feel on a 36 as well. I may try that in the future 👍 it’s a wonderful splitter!
