I love the axe vids. I've started hanging all my axes since watching your vids about 1 year or so ago. My first job helping out my arborist friends was a sycamore removal. I brought as much of that wood home with me as I could fit in my van. First axe handle I made was with a chunk of the sycamore I milled, drew the design, cut out, carved and sanded by hand! It was an amazing experience and I couldn't have more respect for the wood or my newly hung axe. It is solid! Not with our imperfections but I love every one of them. The sycamore is some stringy tough grain stuff! Very humbling experience! Thanks Buckin!

I found an old axe in the wood shed on my new property. I've split over ten cords last spring for this winter we are in now. This axe I thought at first was purely a "felling axe" now I'm thinking other wise as it's thick and has more weight then your average felling axe. Its dulled up and rusted somewhat on the sides but I'm started to dig it for splitting what I have hear for startingfires even. Not sure yet how it will fair spilling larger sections...yet. The handle has quite the curve on the end, sort of encourages both hands to slide down on a down swing. BTW love that old truck of yours! I had a old 1984 Scottsdale I got rid of (wish I never). I need something in 4x4 to go fishing, hunting and firewood on the backwoods! I live on the Northshore of Lake Superior Canada. Over and out!
