The Boxer is a manhwa that a lot of you requested I read... so I finally did. It was a pretty good manhwa if you haven't seen it already check it out!

Idk if you've read it but there's a side story after the main story for The Boxer called Ill Fated Relationship. It's 18 chapters and focuses on Jay and Ryu which you'll prob like a lot since you love Jay.

The boxer was pretty great in the beginning but the MC got so insanely powerful it was too unbelievable. It got the point where the middle half of the manga felt like we were just wasting time before he fought the heavyweight champ.

i agree my main issue with the story is YU and just how op he is. the end fight too was kinda anticlimactic. ending was good tho

Narratively it doesn’t matter, whole point of the story is to buildup for the final message, which is about Christs sacrifice on the cross

He was that strong for a reason. Would the impact of the end be as good as it was if he’d struggled against some of his matches? His strength represents something, but that something is up to yourself to find after reading it.

Glad you liked it! Like you said, the main appeal of this manwha are the characters and the themes. A lot of sports manga and manwha have gotten me hyped. But the Boxer is one of the only ones that made me FEEL so much for both the characters and the themes. It’s a great allegory.

You should read The Blood Of The Butterfly. If compared to The Boxer, is has an insanely similar style of story telling, and every single character is well thought out and has more depth than most MC's in manwha. It also has one of the best plot twists I've seen. I highly reccomend.

If you want an amazing comic recommendation, read Kill Six Billion Demons. I can't explain just how amazing this story is. Just look up the art and you will want to read it, and trust me, the story is even better than the art. Truly a crazy, badass and trippy journey, and as someone who basically only reads manga, manwha and webtoons, I put this at the very top of my list.

Amazing video I liked the ill fated story at the end way more fun and interesting to read then the main bit but both were still great btw I recommended death row boy the whole story and finale were amazing and they have some of the most hatable characters

I found your channel through the I forced myself video, it was a really well put together video, but please read more of the beginning after the end, at the start it feels like a mushoku tensei rip off but the school arc is insane and it has the most real reaction to the I've reincarnated that I've ever read, also superhuman era was suggested a couple times and I highly recommend that one too, straight up manhwa avengers.

Reason why it is still 5K views is because we question your choice of title 😂😅 It was good. Was. Boxer fell off after some time and became annoying after a while. Too much will make it annoying however good it was at the start.

The video itself is really well made and was enjoyable for the most part, but the title "the best sports manhwa I have ever read" is a pretty much worthless title when it's the only sports manhwa you've ever read. That's like someone saying "this is the best soccer video game I've ever played" when they never even tried a different one. At that point, the statement is just pointless. As a huge fan of this story, I was hoping that you would, with a title like that, compare this to other manhwa's so I could learn more about what this story did right as opposed to most other stories, but the only thing it's compared to are stories that you think that are better, to which wasn't my original interest to begin with.
