NOTE: Incredibly, in the time it took this video to post, they changed the caches. Ghost Spider and Ms. Marvel swapped! Shouldn't change the analysis of the card, but good LORD does it demonstrate the struggles of datamine content.

Good guide and analysis of new cards but you mentioned in description the fact that they changed the cards in spotlight caches and how it show's the problem with datamine's but other than the inherent problem with their communication or in this case the lack of it, the main thing is they literally SHOWED THE SPOTLIGHT CACHES and yet they changed it again.

But we can't entirely blame datamines, the developer notes video also showed the exact lineup for spotlights according to what was datamined... That's supposed to be final, but they have been putting wrong info on those videos recently... It's an SD fault this time 100%

Three thoughts: 1. Cannonball + old Kingpin would have been so fun... 2. Very annoying they're changing caches less than a week out - I've been eyeing that Mockingbird/Ms. Marvel cache for like a month and saving, now I don't know what to do... 3. Why are we getting so many repeats of cards like High Evo/Knull/Ghost Spider in caches when cards like Blob/Caiera/Alioth + all new card this year have still yet to reappear? NO ONE WANTS A 4TH KNULL VARIENT

Also, I feel that Ms Marvel and Ghost Spider swap in my soul. I was planning on opening that week because I owned none of those cards, and that's the first time in months that's happened, but apparently I'll have to keep waiting. I guess I might think about opening Cannonball if he ends up being better than we all think he will be?

Unfortunately, SD can't let the players have good things and swapped Ms Marvel and Ghost Spider in the caches, making Mockingbird week a lot less appealing. I'm sure you're already aware, but just noting for anyone else watching this who isn't aware.

Datamines weren't wrong, if you go to the video for the Hope Summers season SD recently posted, you'll see the original spotlights the datamines showed. This is clearly a last minute change from SD.​@@KMBestInASnap

Definitely gonna be trying Mockingbird out in the old Brood Absorbing Man deck. That extra ability to go tall might give that deck the boost it has needed for awhile.

Thank you for making a video like this, to help out a total noob like me. I had no idea how rare these spotlight keys were, and I wasted one of them on the last cache. I did get a Daken, but meh. I wish I had saved it for the upcoming ones, maybe Hi Evo or something. Anyways, love your content!

Mockingbird seems really good to me in Loki as well, not necessarily for after playing Loki, but just as a huge power spike for when you don’t play Loki. Between Snowguard, Coulson, and Mirage, you should be able to get Mockingbird down to 2-3 cost to pair with a Shang or Ms. Marvel on the final turn.

Math is king cannonball is going to be awesome if you have full control of a lane. No matter what card cannonball, tosses over there. That's 2 lanes you just won because of cannibal. And he's only turned 5 giving you turn 6 to still play something significant and powerful.

Cannonball seems like it will win you games if you can lock and win one other lane - either by locking down with ProfX or filling the lane with junk. Junk is getting some support with White Widow next month, so that kind of Debrii/Goblins/Hazmat/Luke game plan is getting support.

20:44 were you thinking of passing muster? That or cutting the mustard work - passing the mustard is what you do at a barbeque 😂. I love phrase etymology so I looked up where cut the mustard comes from and it's actually pretty hard to pin down a reliable source - the best I could find suggests it derives from when mustard crops were cut by hand with scythes - due to the size and thickness of the crops, they'd need to be very sharp and good quality to "cut the mustard."

I feel like Cannonball + Ms Marvel being in the same week is intended to be a similar dynamic to Pixie + Mobius, where Cannonball is a counter to the popular Ms Marvel.

Mockingbird I feel is going to be a problem for the meta game going forward. Not even because she'll suddenly make Patriot, Zoo, Loki, Loki/Dino/Agents, Thanos (even more so) etc OP. She isn't even that interesting a card compared to some of the play lines that Pixie and War Machine can/will be enabling in future. But that there are a LOT of cards and a LOT of decks that can discount Mockingbird down to a 4-3-2/9 without trying or changing their usual decklists. A 3/9 Mockingbird after playing Sentry and The Hood's Demon? Well that powercreeps the now buffed Gladiator (was 3/7, now 3/8) and doesn't incur the risk of playing a strong On Reveal or a free card for the opponent. Even a 4/9 Mockingbird is near on par with Cull Obsidian (4/10), assuming no Zabu, that trades -1 Power for immunity to Shang-Chi. That's where Mockingbird, I feel, is begging for an OTA adjustment more than any of the other March new Spotlight cards. She's a strong stat stick in decks not intending to exploit the cost reduction, and the decks that do are getting whatever Power she has for 1-cost or free regardless.

i am skipping this week since i have only 1 key and using all of my keys next week for ms marvel and mockinbird, and then skip the next and use again on the last week, should be the best option for me since keys and tokens are a hard find now, really sad

One phrase is "Passing Muster". i.e. when a military unit is checked over to see if it's presentable, it does. Cutting the Mustard is of unknown origin, though it seems to have originated in the early 20th century. It may have to do with mustard being used as a superlative back then (e.g. that lad is keen as mustard!) Another possibility does revolve around mustard plants being quite tall and tough, so something that cut the mustard was sharp and high quality.

Yeah, I'm on that copium also. That was the first week in months I didn't own any card in the spotlight, and I have yet to get Ms Marvel at all. Now? Well, now the Mockingbird week seems straight up terrible to open for (Mockingbird herself being the only card that even has a chance of being good) , while the Cannonball week might be worth opening for if Cannonball ends up being a decent 5 cost. He doesn't need to be amazing, but if he's playable, that's enough of a reason to justify burning keys in pursuit of Ms Marvel.
