Ass to grass is the way!! I'm not the biggest dude and my squat is only currently at a 305 1rm, but I pride myself on my mobility. I think there's only a handful or two of people at my gym who can match my depth and I love it, and there are even less people when it comes to matching my depth with minimal 225 on the bar. Work on your mobility people, even if it may add a little extra time to your workouts it can only help you in the long run!

@@MrSpicabooo it absolutely is not a cop out answer. Everybody has a different anatomy, it’s why flat bench may feel awesome to one person but feel terrible on the shoulders of another. Someone with longer limbs will have a harder time keeping their spine neutral in a back squat movement. Trying to just be determined if you don’t pay attention to your anatomy is an easy way to put yourself in the hospital. Check out Eugene Teo

Never understood how one can "feel" stiffness on ankle or hip. Might just feel "normal" for me.

If you ever do a REAL stretching session for your ankles and hips, then you’ll feel what it’s like to not be stiff. If you already do that, then looseness (this is the goal but idk a better word for it lol) is probably already your standard.
