Good clip but static stretching is good. A lot of gym guys say is bad but is not. If you look at others sports like all of them. We all do static stretching before working. Actually a mix between static and dinamyc. All fighters do some static stretching before work and we don t lose power. It s a cap saying that static stretching take your power

@MrJacobkoh
@MrJacobkoh 2 жыл бұрын
@@YMT916 yeah, piggybacking of this, static stretching before workout can cause a decrease in muscle performance, causing you to injure yourself while working out with heavy weights. An alternative is dynamic stretches, with very quick stretching time, 1-3 secs. If you include a warm up in it, it's even better. However, that is not to say static stretches are bad, it good to static stretch after your workout to relief the tension and stress on your muscles. Remember you dont really need to feel the stretch when doing static stretch, or else you may overstretch and cause injuries to occur. That being said, doing this properly will keep your joints, muscles and body in good condition for the next hundred years!

@Hipersell
@Hipersell 2 жыл бұрын
@@patrickfitzpatrick2778 I'd recommend the same to you, because I've done my homework long ago, anything between 30 to 40 seconds it's absolutely ok. Anything longer can stretch for too long thus reducing the muscle's ability to produce force. I'm not debating my statements on youtube
@Hipersell
@Hipersell 2 жыл бұрын
and that is, again, up for debate. I can show you "research" that shows it is bad and I can show you "research" that says it's good. So it's not as simple as "do some research", depends on what you read. Applies for most of the things

Dynamic stretching has been a game changer for me. I was so used to static stretching. I recently started implementing dynamic stretches in the beginning of my workouts, and I feel so much better. I still implement static stretches, usually after my workout when my muscles are warmed up.
