These St. Joseph’s Zeppole are absolutely amazing!!! Time consuming yes but so simple to make! You’ll want to make these Zeppole all the time. Why wait for St. Joseph’s day? These are too delicious to wait! Yum!!!

The tragedy!! But now you can have them at home!! And SO much better than what you would buy anyway. And if you have extra zeppole they freeze beautifilly! Just not with the filling...

you could substitute olive oil or even coconut oil but the pastry won't be as flaky...

I don't know what I did wrong I tried 2 different recipes and neither of the doughs puffed up. They stayed flat like cookies.

@@poppyscucina thank you 😄 I was going to make them for Easter. Laura Vitale's recipe called for a lot of butter. I think it made the first batch too greasy tried a different one and they didn't puff up. I will definitely give your recipe a shot.
