On this episode of the #GuitarStoreTour I’m in La Plata, Maryland at the legendary Island Music Company where I made one of my first truly viral guitar store videos. To pay homage to such a special and historic landmark in my life, I decided to whip out the best stage moves popularized by music legends over the decades. Make sure to follow me on Twitter to see where the #GuitarStoreTour will stop next, and tune into my KZbin channel for new episodes every Wednesday. 50 States. 50 Guitar Stores. 50 Weeks.

Wow/ow! Did you break any bones or tubes? Oh, the humanity! I once slipped on the stairs with my bass and thought I broke both my bass and my hip, but somehow I broke neither. Rock on.

Honestly I believe that's not really a move as much as a method to make playing with your guitar so low easier. James Hetfield does it pretty much the entire show. Just gives better access to the upper frets to stand like that when your guitar is hanging by your knees.

@jamesdragonforce
@jamesdragonforce 5 жыл бұрын
Diego Montenegro Correa It sucks yet Tyler picks it up? Knowing that Tyler has fairly high standards, something is amiss. What is so bad about it that makes your opinion so supreme?
@diegoenriquemontenegrocorr9755
@diegoenriquemontenegrocorr9755 5 жыл бұрын
@@jamesdragonforce My opinion is just my opinion, not supreme at all. Tyler is asewome, playing a shitty guitar is not gonna change that. I've tried that Ibanez two days ago. I wanted to buy it. I ended up very disappointed with the sound, feel, and finish. And now that you mention it... MAYBE that guitar Tyler is playing is not a Jem Jr. If it's not, forget what I posted.
@jamesdragonforce
@jamesdragonforce 5 жыл бұрын
Diego Montenegro Correa Pretty sure it is. Obviously you probably just picked it off of the guitar rack at a local Guitar Center or someplace. You know that if it’s just straight off the rack that it probably just needs a setup right? Guitar shops can be pretty lax about that, especially with all the guitars and all. I personally own one and, personally, it sounds better than my other guitars. Don’t make hasty judgements just because of one bad experience. Also this shit is entirely subjective. What exactly did you not like, could you be more specific? Are you new to guitar, or just not used to guitars like the jem that are more specific to shredder types? I’m quite sure it is. The only other jem I see in guitar stores other than the junior models is the jem 77( not a seven string), and that’s priced at 1600$. Whereas the jr is more than a thousand less.
@diegoenriquemontenegrocorr9755
@diegoenriquemontenegrocorr9755 5 жыл бұрын
@@jamesdragonforce Of Course I know that. It wasn't the first time I intended to buy a guitar. Action and feel may be corrected after a setup. But what about the texture in the monkey grip area? It felt like they didn't even sand it. The pickups don't get much better after a setup, either. I read mixed reviews before trying the jem jr. Unfortunately, only the bad ones were accurate. But, at the same time, I Watched videos with comparisons between the jem and the jem jr, there wasn't much difference. So, I wanted to buy it. Anyway, if you like it that's great. I thought you were interested to know an opinion in order to buy it.
