I always try and put the spine down (thick fat side) down for about 45 secs so that way it will render down. Another tip is to throw a knob of butter on that skillet plate and ladel it onto the steak before removing it to help keep it moist.
@LIBERTY0RDEATH Жыл бұрын
Or just throw a tablespoon of garlic butter on the steak while cooking. That being said sure didn’t look like that steak was dry. Looked perfect from here. Thanks for the review. Gonna have to get me some of incredible steak seasoning.

I do mine by rubbing it down with liquid smoke mesquite as a binder and awesome color and flavor and then going cheap lol just use a cheap basic fajita rub,black pepper,and cavenders Greek seasoning. Lol. You would think that liquid smoke would be overpowering but it ain't. It's not soaking in it lol. It's just put on ,and the seasoning ,right before you put em on the grill. And I spray both sides with cheap ass spray butter before I plop em on lol. Turns out juicy ,awesome taste,and giving it a spray after its flipped and before it's wrapped in foil for twenty minutes is awesome lol. Love your videos and this rub review!!!! Good stuff my man

Nooooooooooooo Liguid Smoke.... Unless you really dont like the taste of a good steak, in that case, make it a double shot of the Ol LS on a slice of eggplant and keep it simple.

Have you tried the reverse sear method on your steaks . Rib eye steak is my fav but your steak needs to be a min of 1" thick for it to work ,I find 1.5" works best ,rub them in salt and pepper both sides ,leave them on a plate in the fridge for 24 hours uncovered, to cook them you need the oven on 135 degrees and place the steaks on a grill rack and then place that in a oven tray to catch the juice let them reach 50 degrees or just cook for 40 min for a nice medium or 60 min if you like them cooked ,then take them out of the oven and get a pan or griddle on the hob and get that thing red hot ,place the steak in and sear both sides and the edges untill it's to your liking then throw in a big knob of real butter ,when it's melted tilt the pan and spoon over the butter and do the other side then serve ,all the rage in the restaurants and enjoy ;)

I saw another video of yours from Midland Meat Market. From your video I’ve tried “It’s incredible” (Great season) and Sure Shot SIDS (my absolute favorite) are your in the midland area? If you get a chance (which you probably already have) try the midland meat company “Oil Dust”. It’s an amazing steak seasoning!

Alamo Seasoning is a great all purpose seasoning as well. My fav. I’ve tried many & just bought Everglades & hate it. Just has way too much Thyme in it or something that is overpowering. Think I’m a give these a try. Texas Steakhouse Seasoning hasn’t impressed me either. Alamo is just damn good on everything & HEB carries it for $5 a bottle. Don’t buy off Amazon, Alamo is way over priced.

Not one of them have i ever heard of. Thank God i'm in Texas. Get you some uncle Chris's steak seasoning made by Bolners Fiesta brand out of San Antonio TX. Doesn't get any better. Can't believe you didn't have McCormick steak seasoning in there. It's a close second. Try wishbone Italian dressing next time instead of the duck fat. Gives it another flavor profile. After flipping the steak half way through the cook put some Lea & Perrins worcestershire sauce over the top and finish cooking. You will thank me.

Two things. 1. I see a meat thermometer, yet you fail to mention your internal temp. Im guessing by your coloring around 140... to each his own. 2. I would suggest to try and clean your pallet between taste tests to get a true representation of each rub.

I agree, that plate seemed to pull the seasonings off of each steak and then burn on the plate. Not the way I would cook a steak. I like to use a small cast iron steak plate to put in the oven at around 140 degrees and serve my steaks on it which will keep the steak warm the whole time I am eating it.
