Thanks for explaining why my AD600Pro seemed to underperform with the optical snoot.

Thanks for the shout out! I enjoyed doing the experiments in my studio and was surprised when my AD200 did better than my studio strobes.

We were just as surprised when you shared your results with us!

Thank you for bringing this up!! You confirmed my suspicions!!! Do you know if the ad200 round head would make a different or if the normal head is already the best for snoot use?

Thank you!! Great video

Hello, surprising results indeed. Thank you for sharing this. One question, the inner lense on the optical snoot is the clear crystal version or is the frosty one?
@Strobepro Жыл бұрын
This test was done with our Optical Snoot II, which has no frosted element. Worth noting, we did not notice any significant differences in pattern evenness among the tested strobes.

I wonder how this one compares to the Westcott option

The AD200Pro has a modeling lamp. Not very strong, but it has one.

It does, but those little LED strips are so underwhelming that we usually just tell people it doesn't have a modelling lamp.😂 It definitely lacks the juice to be useful in the Optical Snoot, unfortunately.

This is an interesting video. Thanks for doing the tests. I have a question for you: Is it possible to mount the optical snoot onto the Godox MS300 or will the modeling light prevent it from attaching properly?
@Strobepro Жыл бұрын
Hi A.O., The modelling light does not interfere with mounting the Strobepro Optical Snoot. We made sure the inner mounting area had plenty of space so that it fits on virtually any strobe. :)

Hey. This is totally off topic… but I have suggestion for Godox. Just got an AD600 and the extension head. Both come with adjustable light stand adaptor. The point I want to make, is they’re notched/ have teeth. Makes them superior for holding heavy modifiers. Can they make a new S2 bracket the same way? The brackets that just depend on friction are easy to fail with large modifiers. Thanks.

Interestingly, the original S-bracket did use a toothed design. A lot of users didn't like it and asked for something stepless. We may still be able to get an original S-bracket or three on a special order if you are interested. Drop us a line at hello@strobepro.com.

Can you recommend me a type of optical snoot for godox ad 1200 pro?

How well would it work with a AD100 Pro which has the ability to zoom?

My question too
@borzumo Жыл бұрын
thank you, so will it fly with two ad200 and ad-b2?
@Strobepro Жыл бұрын
It definitely will, but you can probably still expect better results with just a single strobe and the fresnel head.

The Strobepro optical snoot is $341 on sale… on Amazon the exact same product is $230… that’s a huge profit margin.
