The Solovair shout out when they construct a better quality boot than Doc Martens is deserved. Solovair has a clear better construction with leather and even has a shank when Doc Martens is selling a yellow pull tab and yellow stitching. Thank you Harry for educating us ☺️
@passionateintrovertАй бұрын
I can’t speak to Solovair but I’ve owned a pair of Docs for close to 8 years and they still look and feel great. 🤷🏻♂️
@BorgJonesАй бұрын
@passionateintrovert I don't doubt that. But objectively Docs have dropped off in quality over the years due to the popularity and demand and are a far cry from the construction of what Docs used to be. Solovair is doing what Docs used to do but better by having a shank to hold form better and not skimping on leather quality due to demand. Doc Martens is doing the Nike thing where the price goes up but quality is diminishing with the price change because of stockholders/profits
@passionateintrovertАй бұрын

Last year I bought the Buttero Combat Boots. They are great, chunky and the leather is top of the top quality. In Milan there is their flagship store… very cool models, prices are high but… you pay for their quality! Sometimes some famous brands cost more and their product are super cheap. Buttero is not so famous… so, believe me, you paid for the right value.

I bought the Buttero Commando Boots based on your previous video, and I do love them - but one thing to note that you don't see in the product shots is that they're really quite wide looking - the vibram sole adds quite a lot of width to the shape. Excellent vlog, Kemo Sabe. Now remembering the “Hikers” from the early 1980s, when I was in the 7th, and 8th grades, also known as middle school. The “Hikers” were the kids who wore Alpine style Hiking Boots, tight jeans and rock t-shirts. The also had lone hair. The girls wore black eyeliner. The Hikers, weren’t like the “Stoners of America,” who wore naturally torn jeans and washed out Levi’s denim jackets. The “cholos,” didn’t wear boots at all. They wore patent leather Stacey Adams “Taplitas,” with their military pressed white dress shirts, tucked into immaculately creased Dickies brand Khaki trousers, with black suspenders. I dressed in the style of the Ramones, which evolved in the 8th grade to skinny ties, Sperry Brown TopSiders, tucked into jeans. I wanted to be like the members of Cheap Trick and cool Rick Springfield Today, I own two pairs, two styles, of Alden Indy boots. I own real combat boots because I served in the Marines for 22+ years. Black full leather, black jungle boots, and suede boots.
