Harry, I would love to see a "tinkerer's design" style ramp test for articulation!

Keep up the great work. Two suggestions. Write porsche and ask if they would sponsor your adventures to help market the Cayenne adventure segment of their market ( I am confident they will sponsor you ) as it fits their product road map. Second, look into an adventure travel trailer ( will make it easy on you and give you more content to review ).

Do you know if Locked will be offering these coilovers for purchase? I do not see Cayenne listed on their website

I really like watching your Porsche videos, it's such a cool rig. Keep an eye on those red bushings, I've had problems with those polyurethane bushings in the past on multiple vehicles my friends have had issues too. I've never put them on a Porsche or used that brand I'm just saying in general they seem to wear out fast like when I've used them in leaf springs and leaf spring shackles and control arm bushings and other miscellaneous. Nowadays I stick with Jonny joint style or heim or something solid or even just rubber, but I wouldn't be surprised if the modern poly bushings are of a better quality than they were 10 years ago or so. I almost feel like regular grease makes the poly bushings wear even faster like it reacts to them so whenever I have to I use something like an o-ring grease. Just something to keep an eye on, part of me doubts they would still be so popular if they wear like I've experienced.

The polyurethane upper control arms in the video wore very quickly, and is the reason the bushings aren’t in the arms. They fell out when removed from the car! I haven’t had any issues with rear or front lower control arm bushings, but will check them when I either have an issue, or remove them for some reason! So far it doesn’t feel like anything’s loose!

I now have about 10,000 miles on the suspension components since this video was filmed!

Hey man! Great content, I’ve been watching for a while now. Now I’ve got my own cayenne and I’m looking at UCA’s to combo with berg peaks 2.5” air lift. Do the Eurowise adjustables from this video squeak and clunk like their non adjustables? Thanks man keep it up
@leveluplife858510 ай бұрын
Why not a really high quality aftermarket air suspension and subframe lift kit?
@FourReelProductions Жыл бұрын
What are your thoughts on the Eurowise basic coils. I believe they are around $2100. I have a blown rear shock on a 16 diesel and it seems I could buy one OEM corner or replace all four with the eurowise kit and bump it up 1in or so. I just want space for 33s. Light off-road mainly family car.
@HarrisonSchoen Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I’d recommend going with a puck lift because I don’t know anyone personally with the Eurowise coils and experience with them!

Where did you get the coilovers - or what do you recommend from eurowise? Couldn't find those coilovers on the locked website

good afternoon Is it possible to replace the original factory pneumatic set with this set and maintain the original height or lower and have stability on highways?

@BLAC_WORX Жыл бұрын
awesome info. So the ends of the shocks come off and allow you to bolt them to the front lower 'forks'?
@HarrisonSchoen Жыл бұрын
Correct, the eyelets are removable from any shock, and you screw on the clevis’s!
@BLAC_WORX Жыл бұрын
@@HarrisonSchoen cool, thats what I assumed but had no experience with them. I just got an 09 S and am thinking about making the plunge to coil overs vs the standard 3" puck lift. Im going to take a look at the forks soon and see how I feel about fabricating a set of them. then weighing Bilstein vs Locked.
@HarrisonSchoen Жыл бұрын
Both Bilstein and locked are great! I also recommend getting some Seal Savers to protect the rear shock shafts

Good to see more and more quality content with theese cars. It would be amazing to see a direct comparison video- stock conventional suspension vs Air vs coilovers on the same route. Something like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJbGdKKCi8-ZgLc I drive a 2008 Touareg with air suspension and I'm really curious if such modification would be something I'm looking for.

So is that $5600 for the best setup? Everything included?
@HarrisonSchoen Жыл бұрын
$5600 for everything on the tables. In my opinion, the best setup on the market.
