You mention seeing a gap in the joystick hole. I thought the stickers that the joysticks came with was so that you could take the joystick cap off and put the sticker on to close up the hole. If you ever do anymore of these installations, it seems like a good idea to do imo.

I bought my switch very early on, and it suffered drift after little use. Makes me wonder if wear and tear is the full drift story. I sent both my joycons to Nintendo. They confirmed the left one had the issue and repaired it.

Are they audibly "clicky"?

Thanks for the review Lon! Do you find that the outer deadzones are the same as OEM sticks? Large outer deadzones seem to be a thing with third party Switch analog sticks.
@LonSeidman Жыл бұрын
I didn’t sense much of a dead zone at all on these.

Hey there, do you need to recalibrate the sticks every time you turn the switch on and off?

Nope just the first time

Thanks Lon, how many other brand of Hall effect joy-con replacement parts are out there? Good stuff, keep it up.

I don't think there are too many - at least none that I see on Amazon.

Gulikit also makes a full controller "GuliKit Kingkong 2 Pro Wireless" Bluetooth Controller for NS Switch, Windows PC,MacOS,Android and iOS. I bought one on amazon and its great. Lon have you made a review yet of this ???

Hall effect sensors are barely existent in video game market as a whole. It just doesn't fit the planned obsolescence thing companies love. Gulikit is pretty much the first company to do hall effect joysticks (other than Dreamcast 25 years ago)

Love your videos Lon. I would suggest you use some lotion on your hands though. Stupid dry winter days!

Yeah I struggle with that in the winter!

Can you scan amibos with them?
@LonSeidman Жыл бұрын
The existing RF ID hardware remains in the joycon I don't think the readers were built into the original sticks so the Amibos should still work.
@JohnvanCapel Жыл бұрын
You definitely can - the actual NFC hardware isn't in the stick, but in a sensor that's located *around* it. That said, you might have to turn the Joycons on and off a few times to get the NFC reader to "adjust" to the fact that there's now a magnet right in the middle of it.

I was pretty sure it was going to be about drift from title and I don't even have a Switch.
