THE BEST Syrian bakes at AL SHAMYAT, Curry Mile, Manchester!! Plus first taste of FATTET HUMOUS!!

We visit Al Shamyat, a very popular Syrian bakery for their pastries, breads, as well as cooked dishes.
We ordered a variety of things over two visits:
breads topped with honey & cheese, muhammara, mince & egg
spinach and cheese pastry
falafels
fattet humous
mutabal
stuffed vine leaves
All washed down with tea and ayran :)
You get pickled veg when you dine in - they are a tad salty so don't overdo it!
The food was generally fantastic, esp the falafels, fattet humous, honey & cheese bake, and the spinach and cheese pastry.
Try to visit on a weekday when it's less busy as on weekends, it is really busy and might be a struggle to get a seat, and also a bit of a wait for the food to arrive.
A great place to visit for an authentic taste of Syrian delights!!
