Small suggestion for rolling-up flaps, of many kinds; tents, tarps, Jeep soft sides, etc. IF, you roll from the inside edge, your finished 'roll' will not hold rain, snow, debris and eventually mold. The roll-up in the video will collect any and all types of whatever the outdoors contains! It may take a little extra effort but well worth dealing with the consequences that will surely follow. Good Rides

I bought one just over a year ago. The premise was to be able to pitch up the outer first in the rain. However this brought the tents weaknesses to the forefront. One of the two swivel connectors for the two central cross poles broke while trying to connect the outer fly sheet. The swivel joints could be made from a more durable less brittle type of materials. The second point of weaknesses is the poles need to be of a stronger diameter to with stand bad weather and long-term use. It's not a four season tent more of a two season but could be. I have to point out that LONERIDER did send me a new pole set ,but l am not confident in taking this tent for long journeys abroad

I have used this tent all season and it’s the best tent hands down for Moto camping. Riding all day we usually make camp as the sun is setting. This thing goes up so fast. But this video is great, I just learned at least two things I didn’t know about the set up!!! Thanks again

How are the zippers are they any good

@@breakdownbill1 if the zipper catches whilst opening the outer rain fly, and that’s not that often; it comes undone rather easily. The inside tent zippers open so smoothly, I usually can do it with one hand.

The best tent is one that you can stand upright in for those days it is raining too hard to go back on the road. An extended front so you can cook under shelter is a big plus too. Met a fellow rider that had an Australian style one man tent thing. After 12 hours of heavy rain, I invited him into my big tent. He said he was going to throw the one man and get a full size tent too.

I just finished a three week motorcycle camping trip where I used this tent every night and in all weathers. My only complaint is that due to all the reflective bits when you shine a torch on it at night it is useless for stealth camping as it lights up like a Christmas tree. Otherwise its a great tent.
@newenglandscrambler22622 жыл бұрын
I bought one last summer and the first time I used it was for a multi-day rally in nearly non-stop rain. The tent held up great, I stayed nice and dry. I overpacked like an idiot and still had room for my 6'2" self and all my unnecessary gear. No problems. A higher ceiling would have been nice, but really that is a small nitpick. Great product.

I’m very close to pulling the trigger on my choice of tent for my spring adv ride in 2023, and as much as I like this tent, I don’t enjoy being a 4 sided billboard for manufacturers! If it were toned down to a reasonable level, I’d bet more folks would be inclined to go with it.
@PokerMuppet5 ай бұрын
When in the wild it is not a good idea to leave boots or clothing outside of the tent as anything can crawl inside during the night, snakes, spiders, ticks... It's also a really bad idea to have anything in contact with the inner side of the flysheet as this causes wicking and draws water through and once it's getting through it will continue even if you remove the items touching and will need a thorough drying out to become waterproof once more. These small tent are great for a weekend or if you are literally using them just to sleep in but if you are camping and needing to cook etc they are a nightmare if the weather turns bad. Always aim for a tent big enough to be comfortable in for a full day at least with all your gear inside with you. Then you'll know if you can manage or not.

With all the net area, it's going to be great in summer, because the air will pass thru but it won't keep any heat as soon as it gets cold or windy... So, it is a summer-only tent. And too many poles in my opinion. What about the weight and size? Did I mention it looks bulky for a two place motorcycle tent? But the map is a funny idea. I like it.

Hello is it possible to use a camp bed without making holes in the groundsheet?
@themayorofdipshittery36462 жыл бұрын
I like the tent but I prefer my tent to be a one piece with the ground sheet and inner tent all attached. Speed of setting up and taking down is a must. I use a 3 man tent for solo runs and it’s ideal for storing gear etc, one man tents are way to small.

Sorry to say rhat but the tent is not good. Because the inner tent has time to get very wet before you get the outer tent up if it rains a lot. It happens often. Especially up in northern Europe. I would not recommend this tent. Better to buy a Four Seasons tent where both the inner and outer tent are joined together from some hiking website instead

@jimporter3 жыл бұрын
And why underline with morse code? And why make it a black sheet and not fluorescent yellow or orange, I mean when using it as ground sheet it is under the tend and you won’t see it, when you need to see it make it obnoxious and unmissable. Why not make it bright one side and black on the other (useful on sand).
@JonLong3 жыл бұрын
@@jimporter Agreed. Some directions for Morse code (for those that do not know how to broadcast an SOS signal) makes sense. But to have the actual SOS flag be so small and on a dark background makes this feel more like a marketing feature than one intended for real use.

Any tent that doesnt have the waterproof floor extend up the walls several inches is completely useless in the rain. Once the rain puddles up it will come right through the walls and if on a slope...you will have a river running right through your tent. Does this tent do that?....it is hard to tell for my eyes.

Hi. Nice tent. Is it already seam sealed? If not, does it need a silicone based sealer or a PU based one, or do you recommend something else? What is the packed size? It looks pretty chunky.
