If you mix your spices, clear jell, all dry ingredients to the sugar before you add it to the liquids you will find it much easier to mix, no clumps.

Canning for 30 yrs. Reviewed your receipe; agree, not concerned. Thank you for hint and explanation on : PINT JAR ONLY. Looks fabulous! Will try! Sorry for laughing but I have never seen so many new gadgets marketed for canning! The rings on jars don't change in measuring head space. The guage tool to "measure hand tight" was hysterical! Seems market it and people will buy it. I do caution others in removing all the fat from meat. FAT CAN TURN RANCID in the jar. Never observed meat fat on top of jar and would never advise to eat such jarred ingredients. Yes, your turn to laugh...I sterilize my jars in boiing water and have hair tied back and handkerchief covering head. Handwashing and cleanliness of tools and counter essential. I never had seepage, exploding during any type of processing or on a shelf. Again, I reviewed your receipe carefully. I will give you a GOLD STAR and my mouth is watering to try it out! - Sorry to be such a critic. I'm becoming a "Rebal Chicken Teriyaki Canner"!

I don't know how to add the chopstick emoji, but I watched to the end. I think your meal in a bag would be a great gift for someone who is sick, or had a birth etc. Almost like giving a casserole but if they don't need it right away it's shelf stable.

I made this using beef chunks about a month ago. I just opened a jar two nights ago, added some frozen mixed vegetables, heated it up and served over rice. It was wonderful. I will DEFINITELY be making it again with chicken and pork too. Thank you for the winning canning recipe.

Made this recipe and wow it is awesome. I changed up this a little. Left the thicker out to add when I warm it up again. I made it in the instant pot, put two cups of sauce in the pot and then added 21/2 lbs of the chicken cut up processed in high for 10 minutes, 5 minutes npr. Took out chicken and left sauce behind and turned to sauté and added ultra gel( 1/4 a cup) to thicken took less than 1 minute and perfect. Put chicken back into sauce and served over rice with sesame seeds and cut up green onions and diced yellow bell peppers. It was awesome. Now to canning it tomorrow Thank you so much for the recipe!

Just came across your channel. Subbed....not only because of this yummy sounding recipe, but also because of your mentioning having the Nesco/Carey Electric canner. I"m still in the middle of watching this video, so haven't had the opportunity to look at any of your other videos yet. But I'm hoping that you have posted other videos and recipes utilizing your Nesco to do small batch canning. I bought the 23 quart presto almost 2 years ago and have only used it once. 1) because I'm still a complete novice to canning and am intimidated by it 2) because the size of my canner, I feel obligated to having to do large all-day canning projects 3) I'm disabled, so I live on a very low monthly income and can't afford to buy extra let alone large amounts of extra.... nor do I have the stamina to do large canning projects So this morning I just happened to look on Amazon and found a great deal on a Carey/Nesco for $95 (new). I was thrilled! And am actually excited to look into learning to can, again.( can't wait to get it oh, and I think this is going to be the first recipe I try!) Thanks for sharing your recipe! Edit: holy moly, I just got to the part in your video talking about the ring tightener tool...just looked on Amazon, its listed for $69.99....and $86.99 on eBay (crazy insane....some people just have no issue extorting others when given an oportunity)

I love my Nesco! Here's a good video on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX7VqYuJa6yKn8k And the band tightening tool is awesome but definitely don't pay that much for it! I kept an eye on it for a while until I saw it for less and I paid around $32-35... which is still a lot! If you are one to frequent yard sales or estate sales and thrift stores, you might get lucky!

Something that would be helpful to those of us who are trying the recipe for the first time is a weight for the chicken. II am thinking that your chicken thighs are much larger than mine. I put 2 chicken thighs cut up in each pint plus the amount of the liquid (doubled just like you did) and my pints were barely half full. I am sure it will be good, but next time I will do at least 3 if not 4 chicken thighs in each jar. Thank you.

The recipe was pressure cooked which does not require jars to be covered with water. Foods that are water bather need to be covered with water & cooked for longer periods of time. In this case, you would need to waterbath for 3 hours but because it was pressure canned it needs less water & 75 minutes for pints.

I've just ordered Clear Jel online (I live far from anywhere!) so I'm all ready to make this. I still have a Q though: Can I can this in a Qt Mason jar? My son doesn't have all that much space to store that many jars, and frankly, a pint jar wouldn't feed him for dinner in any case. A qt jar & maybe a qtr of the a 2nd is for the rest of the kids (I can't eat ckn) & most of the 1st jar is for him, so making pint jars is totally inefficient use of our 22qt Presto canner. I can on my better days (I've got chronic medical issues) so he can feed himself & my grands on the days he gets them on Fri & he's too exhausted to cook. He doesn't have to order/buy pizza, & they get a nutritious meal. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm sure it could! I did my first couple test batches in my Nesco! I just switched to the stovetop to be able to do more jars at once.
