And I'm so glad to hear you took the shortcut and glued on the balls-who would want to crochet 20 ball and stuff and sew them on if you could take a shortcut? Not me-I don't have enough time! Toilet roll under is just too confusing-it feels completely wrong! Glad you made it through the three events in one piece! As i look back at my 1st amigurumis 😢 as a child my tension was too tight i struggled to relax...now i must crochet tight!😂 at 65 i struggle...But i just love making toys, dolls and anything that makes people laugh & smile. Crochet kept me sane this last year and a half and i have totes & totes of my creations even after donating to local firefighters & LE the stuffed animal lovies! I hope they bring a smile to a child that has had a tragety or lives w/DV. TY for all the laughter and simple smiles you bring to my life❤

Love seeing your old makes and hearing what you have learned from them. I have those too. I have one amigurumi sitting in my craft room that I haven't finished because the last part has a bunch of tiny pieces and by the time I got to it, I was so frustrated with it and the yarn I chose, it was shelved. The idea of gluing something on may be what I should do to finish it, lol 💖

I totally understand. I have actually just thrown stuff away. I was so frustrated…it was ugly…there was no coming back. I felt horrible wasting the yarn and time…but I’d hate looking at that ugly thing more. So, I say go with your heart, if glue makes the torment come to an end and brings you joy…do it. The first amigurumis I made were gnomes, too. I know they look a little wonky, but I still love them. Their beards are supposed to be a little scraggly. My skin is so dry thanks to perimenapause, the only thing that tackles it is Vaseline, and I use preparation h around my eyes. 😂🤣. I use regular moisturizers then I seal it in with Vaseline.
