The Classic US DVDs always stood out to me it was always so satisfying seeing one or Two Engines On the top of the cover and a Image from an Episode at the bottom it really make me feel good seeing these US Covers

I really like that design as well, but there are so many inaccuracies and misrepresentations with them, such as Thomas Comes To Breakfast, Gallant Old Engine, Thomas And The Special Letter, and Thomas' Trackside Tunes among others, regardless of how good they look. Even Cranky Bugs has that issue as Horrid Lorry isn't included. Still, there are some releases and re-releases that are spot on with accuracy, such as Races, Rescues, And Runaways, Make Someone Happy, Salty's Secret, Thomas' Christmas Wonderland, Thomas And His Friends Help Out, Sing Along And Stories, and Thomas, Percy, And The Dragon for example.

The best DVD covers are definitely the 2012 re-releases of The Complete Series 1 to 7, the US Great Discovery post art, The Adventure Begins and Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure. And of course Chases, Races and Runaways. In fact, my favourite DVD cover of all time is The Adventure Begins. There's just something simplistic and nostalgic about it.

I'd have to check every DVD I've ever owned, but at least when it comes to VHS, I might have to go with Chases, Races and Runaways. Back in the 90s, VHS covers had to tell you everything about the release in only a few pictures. Sure, it's not fully accurate, but it at least gives you a decent indication of what to expect. It's a really nice collage of exciting episodes, and it's surprisingly creative when most VHS tapes of the time would simply plaster a generic photo of Thomas on the cover with some text above or below him. As for second place, I do have a soft spot for those early 90s re-releases, Thomas and the Trucks, Down the Mine, Percy and the Signal, The Runaway, what have you. Even with even more inaccurate artwork, they just look so great and uniformly. Those are the kind of tapes that deserve to be kept together on the shelf. If I ever decided to collect Thomas VHS tapes again, those would be at the top of the list... So yeah, VHS covered. I'd have to check my recovered stock of DVDs, but that's for another day...

I find the classic series dutch DVD covers (we never got seasons 5-7 on DVD) to look really good. Those are my favorite dutch DVDs the reason i love the covers is that they look really smooth and unique. It looks like you are on a options menu or a DVD menu with a thomas esque look

Bro, y'all from the other countries with those covers are lucky, us Danes have covers which is a bit more boring, but still looks good. Here's my explanation: The ones they used for the S1-5 covers are basically a (For an example:) a Yellow circle followed by a Blue background, they sometimes switch the colours to others, like Green&Orange. And the texts for "Insert Episode Title & other stories" are always in the basic childfriendly colours; Green, Blue and Red, and if lucky enough, Yellow. The episode banner on the back for the episodes is decent, but could get a makeover (Which is way too late nowadays), but I'd rate those covers a solid (8/10). The covers for season 6 and 7 are a bit better. They used the little rectangle blocks with half a circle on each side with a dot and had the "Insert Episode Title". The back was kinda the same, but still decent. I'd rate them (9/10).

To me (even though these are mainly the us ones where it’s vhs releases from seasons 1 to 4 had a rerelease (with the display of one or two characters at the top and a picture of an episode at the bottom whether or not it was in that release) followed by season 5), the best DVD covers that I find great are Salty’s secret, Thomas’ trackside tunes, make someone happy, spills and chills, Henry and the elephant, cranky bugs, Thomas’ Christmas wonderland, races rescues and runaways, Thomas and the special letter, 10 years of Thomas, best of Thomas and Thomas and his friends help out. Also like seeing the uk five DVD box of seasons 1 to 5 at 1:52. But anyways those us Thomas DVDs that I mentioned are ones that I find the best.

The UK spooks & surprises is a really good cover. Too bad Edward didn’t make his cover 😔. Also I agree with you on the dvd cover of, Thomas comes to breakfast. Like it would have made sense if it showed us the scene where Thomas smash through the station masters house. But it didn’t, so why show us the scene from Trust Thomas?

That's a memorable joke. Honestly, if the text was removed, it looks like it would have been spot on as a cover for the re-release of Trust Thomas. I kind of like having Mavis on the actual cover, but this was a huge misrepresentation of the actual release. This would have even worked better for Thomas And His Friends Get Along, as while Henry has very little to do with it, Trust Thomas is included, so at least there's that.
