Child (now adult) of a former blockbuster employee who spent way to much time in one just looking at DVD cases, I can sorta answer the question of if the Blockbuster DVD/Tapes were ever sold, and the answer is a very solid…maybe? Whilst I don’t know the exact process, Blockbuster would put items for sale in stores, usually on side cabinets marked down to a couple bucks, I frequently saw children’s movies and shows here, and even got the first few episodes of Batman Beyond here on one DVD as a gift with the sticker saying it was like, 5 bucks, and this was at least a solid few years before they started to collapse. After they started closing, I overheard you could basically just go in and say “Hey, I wanna buy this” but by then my dad had quit and we had Cable, so I’m not super sure how true that is

They shouldve gotten a voice cast for season 12

I'm one of those few who's not overly keen on Season 4. In fact, i think it peaks with the Stepney saga. The inconsistency in the second half (& the continuity as a whole) truly is the primary factor and what holds me back from rewatching as much as I do with S1-5 & S6-7.

Adapt the Remaining RWS books into Episodes. Also to add to it adapt the Christopher Awdry stories and annuals along together. Lastly, Hire Trainz writers to adapt and tell new stories based on real-world events. 3. Seasons 1-5 as it attains to RWS books/ TVS will remain Canon. Season 6-7 will also retain some continuity, same for Season 17-21. Seasons 8-16 and 22-24 including AES will be non-canon! The Great Discovery will remain in tact some shape. Calling-All-Engines is non-canon as well. 4. Characters introduced in S5-S7 Examples (Cranky, Arie/Bert, George, Lorries, Harvey, Salty, Emily, Spencer, Murdoach Arthur, The Pack (Extended Series) will remain Canon. Characters in S8-15 will mostly be non-canon with a few exceptions. 5. The animation should either return to Models or CGI with better set work and adapt Designs based on the TVS mostly with RWS and Real-World inspirations. The civilians should look a bit more realistic as well. 6. Music should be inspired by Classic Series renditions. Lastly, Opening Theme Intro/outro should be a combination of Classic Series/Engine Roll Call.

Edit: i just realised there is a cameo for angelis talking as James in TATMR so mb, didnt know since unfortunately when i watched the film, i had susans james voice. I still get mad realising michael angelis was originally gonna be James in TATMR, But got replaced by susan. Like, when did the directors think James having a female voice was a good idea? Honestly missed alot, michael angelis couldv'e had such potential voicing james for the movie. Imo, James is the best voice angelis has done.

As someone who is from the uk, i grew up with keith (the keith that did the cgi series.) and angelis, and i will always love them both the best.

I grew up with keith and angelis, and those 2 are genuineally my favourite.

Mine 10 is extremely controrversial but is only there because of that one crash 10. Cranky Bugs 9. Something in the air 8. Gordon takes a tumble 7. Forgot the episode name but its the episode where boco saves Gordon from bill and ben. 6. Granpuff/Sleeping Beauty 5. Haunted Henry 4. A better view for Gordon 3. Duncan gets spooked 1. The Flying Kipper Gordon and Henry episodes are extremely peak. (Theyre both my 2 favourite engines with James closely at 3rd.) Gordon and Henry have just always had perfect narration. The Henry/Gordon duo is arguably one of the best duos to exist.

Not to stereotype but i feel like the biritsh thomas narrators have always just delivered So, SO much better then american voices for thomas narration. Like, the uk voices have more hype and better voicelines. Like, the uk thomas voice is ALOT better than the us thomas voice. Geat discovery, imo, is still one of the best thomas films we got, sucks they chose to replace angelis with pierce as soon as they were getting to some real good thomas movies. Great film, mid narration.

Michael angelis and george were literally the best ones, yet the only 2 on this list that died, genuine sad. Rip both. I will get hate but maybe i like ringo abit more than george, but thats bc i feel like british narrators always do the job abit better than american ones. (Not stereotyping, just my opinion.) But yeah, rip angelis and george. Angelis has always been my fav and a childhood legend.

James The Red Engine is easily my favorite Thomas & Friends character. He can definitely be a jerk often to others, especially to Thomas, or Percy, but deep down he has a heart of gold, and is clearly on the side of good being willing to help out his friends if they're in trouble. Journey Beyond Sodor is honestly one of my favorite moments in the series with him because he proves his usefulness, and goes out to find Thomas thinking something bad might've happened to him, while initially being selfish wanting to be the one who took the important goods train out into the mainland. Also maybe you could do a ranking on the team of diesels in Thomas & Friends. I would personally rank Mavis at the #1 spot.🚂🔴⚫️

Adding to your hiro of the rails theory, a trackmaster talking thomas, hiro, and James were released to coincide with the movie. Hiro uses his normal in movie voice as you'd expect, but interesting James and Thomas actually used the narrator's voice.

I owned a ton of Thomas VHS tapes almost 48 and lost all of them.

It is quite a good film, I like the voicing but could have been better. But a proper 8/10. I think more returning characters could have happened (even if short cameos as a last good-bye/send-off to them) as Boco (even if not seen after Series 5), Derek, Stephney and (definitely) Lady. Lady could have easily have hopped on board this film, by making either a small dream or "mental health" scene, calming down Thomas when floating on the cold river and telling him to mend things up in Great Waterton and that his friends and her cared about him to get lost and learn from not being selfish or jealous... OOOR other option: A cameo, when Thomas is found, all Diesels cheer, and then D-10 tells Lady that Thomas is found and back on track, to which Lady could not have been happier that her friend is safe and sound. And at the end of the film, she sees Thomas and go for a ride both of them. Ah men I would give that film 💯/10. A proper 8.5/10 for this film

The thing with Henry and the Elephant was that it led into ‘Tenders and Turntables’, which expanded on the big engines becoming aggrieved. I also expect the reason they didn’t do ‘Bull’s Eyes’ in Season 2 with the other Daisy stories is because it was too similar to ‘Cows’ from the same season. I can understand why they wouldn’t want to put two ‘cow on the line’ stories in one season.
