Kinda sucks that the PS5 isn't region free with it comes to DVD movies.

It depends on the DVDs itself really. The T&F DVDs here, they all worked in the PS5, which actually surprised me...

If I was to collect the complete original series, which would you recommend? The original "classic collection" complete series, the 2010 re-release or the restored version with some errors?

Can't speak for the re-releases, but the Classic Collection DVDs worked perfectly fine for me.

if you have tape/disc-only vhs tapes/dvds and case-only vhs tapes/dvds, maybe you could put the disc-only ones in the case-only ones like you did with thomas and his friends get along and thomas and his friends help out, i do that with my thomas dvds like i put my milkshake muddle disc in my season 9 case for example

I used to do that when I was a kid. Honestly, that would be more frustrating to me than things not having cases or discs...

if you're from the uk, can you give me some of your dvds? those being thomas and the really brave engines (the one with a disc), thomas comes to breakfast, come ride the rails, all aboard with the steam team, truck loads of fun, together on the tracks, happy little helpers, pulling together, track stars, best of james and sing along and stories.
