The Spanish inqusition is literally a perfect setting. I mean the political complexity of the period would be amazing. Cities would be dense and populated with people and great architecture, which could spell the reinvention of the parkour system to something similar to Unity. Great video! For me the arrival of the conquistadors in South America would be a great setting for AC in the vein of Black Flag, have the protagonist be a native who meets both Assassins and Templars and has to choose who to side with, there is as you say near infinite potential here England has fascinating history from the War of the Roses to the Civil War so they could easily make a whole trilogy from that, and who wouldn’t want to parkour through the great fire of London! I wish we had seen the sequel to Unity, a crossover with Connor and Arno in the Napoleonic War as both go up against Shay, such a missed opportunity I really hope we get this one day The 30 years war in the early to mid 17th century could also be really interesting

I would like one in France and a bit of Portugal in 1310's when the templar order was destroyed. You could be a french templar working for Jacques de Molay and escaped to Portugal where you found an ally in the king D.Dinis that helps you and other templars to survive and creates the order of Christ. After helping the templars you return to France to hunt the king, the pope and Nogaret.

I love AC Odyssey, but I felt they made a mistake with Ancient Greece. They should have let AC Origins be the oldest time period and then made a sequel moving forward with Amunet in Ancient Rome because marked the boxes for what they clearly wanted with AC Odyssey....for example.... 1) They wanted a badass canon female lead character. We had Amunet. 2) They wanted to reboot the franchise but keep the connections to original. They did it beautifully with the Hidden Ones. 3) The first civilization was originally created with the names of the Roman gods and myths. 4) The conversion from the Roman Republic to Roman Empire is the ideal setting for the game. 5) We finally had next generation systems to show off the beauty and scale of Ancient Rome. 6) We didn't really get a satisfactory conclusion or ending to the characters of Origins. 7) They could have planted a lot seeds for the future games and easter egged the heck for the original franchise.

@unarealtaragionevole
@unarealtaragionevole Жыл бұрын
Wait what? No, I disagree, they could have rebooted the franchise while still connecting it to the original because the ultimate end game armor set for Ezio was the Armor of Brutus. Brutus who as alive during the time of Cleopatra and Caesar (aka Origins timeline and story).....and was a person who wanted to stop Caesar who represented the type of control the Templars want in the Ezio series. I mean there were so many possibilities to connect Origins to the Ezio games, it's hard to not see it as a seriously missed opportunity. Also, the whole introduction to the Isu comes to us with Ezio, and they are Roman gods and names. Yes, it's true that the Romans modeled a lot of their mythology from the Greeks; however, they actually had their own native religions and then modeled their gods after the Etruscan gods, not the Greeks. They came later. Now I am going to say something that offends my fellow AC lovers.....I hate the Isu. We don't need them. The eternal conflict between chaos/order, templars/assassins, self-determination/predestination (whatever one wants to call it) is more than enough for this game. We don't need this magical/super-science nonsense. The game would be better without it and that story line.

I think it would be interesting to have an Assassins Creed game set during the earlier times of the Sicilian Mafia during the later half of the 1800s. So guns and and carriages just like in Syndicate, except the buildings are at least smaller to scale There would be several mafia "families", at least 4 or 5, where one of them are secretly the Assassin's where the other 3 or 4 are the supported by the Templars. Because of it taking place in Sicily, the Assassin Mafia family could be influenced by the teachings of their Italian mentor, Ezio Auditore

Actually, I think the Edo period (the 200+ years of isolation) would suit the Japan game best, because it'd be an excellent way to set itself apart from all the other Japan-based games set during the Sengoku period, but also: 1. The idea of the Japanese Assassins being cut off from the rest of the world while the Templars take them out until there's only handful left (and the game being about the protagonist having to build it back up by scratch) would really mitigate the enmity a lot of people have for the Japan AC being another RPG 2. There's so much immersion potential with random world events like helping out Jesuits who are being hunted down

I am currently loving Origins and am highly excited for Mirage. I do hope it will be good. I am also looking forward to be a Shinobi in 1400’s AD Japan . Then I would love to be a Mongol Assassin in 1200’s AD China. To be an Aztec assassin in Tenochtitlan would be insane, killing Messo priests that aim to sacrifice humans to Quetzalcoatl and assassinating corrupt Azetc kings ,replacing them with more capable leaders and then to fight against the invading Spanish conquistadors… so many possibilities. AC Babylon where you go up against the guards of Nebuchadnezzar I 1121 BC and help thwart his plans of the construction of the Tower of Babel. Follow Cyrus II The Great 600BC of the Achaemenid Persian Empire The Great King, King of Kings, King of Anshan, King of Media, King of Babylon, King of Sumer and Akkad, King of the Four Corners of the World to conquer Messopotamia, Anatolia and the levant. Abolishing Slavery throughout the Empire , conquering Babylon, and rescuing the Isrealite people and escorting them back to their homeland ,to Jerusalem. Medieval France where you fight against the Avignon Papacy of the 1260s AD - Treachery perpetrated by the Avignon Popes and the vile king Phillip IV the Fair 1264 AD, that betrayed the Templar order ,forced them to dissolve and brutally tortured and executed them. Thus in a twist, you end up helping the real / original Templar knights to escape torture and execution, to help them relocate, to start a new life (Such as in Portugal) and to help them fight against the new, evil powers in charge, the corrupt Avignon Papacy. Where we get to revisit the events of ‘’Unities’’ start where legend sir Jack de Molay had cited before the tribunal of God that vile Phillip and the corrupt Pope Clement will be cursed by God Three in One. This time , we will see his execution in person as an assassin allied to the knights. One year after he perpetrated his treachery, Phillip IV and Pope Clement were both struck down by God. Phillip having died in a ‘’Hunting Accident’’.... A few months after Phillips' burial , lightning struck the convent housing his remains and it burnt to the ground. If Ubisoft wanted to do Japan and other unique periods of time, they would do it. Ubisoft owners know exactly what could help the franchise and choose to either hold, trash, or pump fake games nowadays. Pump fake imo means a game that shows a beautiful trailer but release a game half baked or not really polished; or even interesting in any way. I also... this one will never happen, but even if it's just a comic, I want to see the Fourth Crusade from the perspective of the local Brotherhood. In that Crusade, the Templars basically defeated themselves through poor strategy.

Japan and Spain are places I like most but we have to look at places and historical figures as well where should be some places where country or city layout would be used to advance parkour for me best places would be Asia and Europe as they hold most of human history since colonization pushes to new times where you find more guns than history I think they did not really touch knight period in Europe since it includes most of Europe as ac figure they could include a prototype of Robin hood as in fiction he was in king Richard lionhearted period of 13th 14th century he fits ac description but we got England and I would rather like to get something like Prague to be medievle Gothic city of Knights and templars or we could have a set of cities like ac 1 for asia they could go for chronicles locations aš you can fit those easily as India and china are having most people and good building structure china have created a lot of things so it should be advanced in a lot of ways we could speak to sun tzu just he lived before all the ac

They can focus it on one of the big wars, such as Tikal Vs Calakmul or Pelenque. Of set it during the abandoning of the central cities for the ones on the Yucatan Peninsula. They'd need a lot of fiction though as so much isn't known about the ancient Mayan culture, events or even names for places. It may be better to focus it around the Spanish conquest of Tenochtitlan, Monte Alban, etc. It'd be hard to frame either the Aztecs or the Spanish as the good guys though, so it's probably be like AC3 with you being a native stuck in the middle. The Incan Empire is also a potentially great setting.

I think that the late Meiji era (1853-1867), also known as the Bakumatsu period, is fitting for an Assassin's Creed theme. This era was marked by revolution, with a secret rebel group called the 'Ishinshishi' resembling the Assassin Order and the shogun's elite samurai group, the Shinsengumi, resembling the Templar Order. There was a group of elite swordsmen who ambushed and assassinated the Shogun's governor at night, known as the 'Hitokiri' or 'Manslayers,' which fit the themes of Assassin's Creed. I believe the Bakumatsu period would be an excellent choice for the game's setting.

30 BCE - 0ish CE Assassins Creed in Jerusalem and surrounding areas where you play as Judas but it's based on the Book of Judas, the "betrayal" is a co-plot as in the Book of Judas, and they use it to make the Order of the Ancients think they won and then strike from the shadows via "who the hell would expect the dead guy to come back for like a week to kill them all". The Shroud was used to revive Jesus for a bit in canon, so roll with that: he did the intentional dying in order to "save" everyone by the ultimate feint: dead men don't kill. The Order is presuming they won, because the Master Assassin equivalent in the Hidden Ones of the area is dead, supposedly betrayed by his second in command. Then the two of them use that opening to butcher the OotA.

Setting: 1820-1825 Washington DC or New Orleans. Reasons: no revolvers yet nor bolt action rifles or lever actions so it's still just flintlocks and muskets. So no cowboy stuff going on and it'd be just like AC3 or AC4. I choose this time frame and city since the War of 1812 could be played via flashback missions like what we had in Brotherhood with Ezios lover missions, these ones being combat focused though. IDK how to tie story of Assassins v Templar into it, but I'm sure Ubisoft could! Also, slavery. Massive topic to be discussed and we could even play as one who escapes and tries to start a slave revolt/uprising with the help of the Assassins as some, if not, most of the slave masters are Templars. Maybe have the story focus on backdoor deals via politics and how politicians help those they favor politically, ideologically, socially, religiously, etc., will be garnished and showered in favors while those they hate will die, be enslaved, exiled or forced to live in poverty. Templars could be infested in government via mayors, governor, congressman, senators, chief of police, the police, the military, etc. This would be a touchy game thematically speaking so it'd be hard to do without stepping on toes, but hey, RDR2 pulled off racism without using the hard r, but I think this game should go full Quentin Tarantino's Django and use the hard R, racist slang and the good ol derogatory, "BOY!" like what was used on Lenny in RDR2. Also, James Monroe is the POTUS at this time (last founding father) so it'd be interesting to have him as a historical figure in the game; on another note, this is before Andrew Jackson slaughtering the Native Americans but that theme could still be foreshadowed throughout the story, side content and overall NPC dialogue of in-game Native Americans who'd say stuff like, "Oh, a dark man from across the ocean? You remind me of myself, in bondage, always looking for a way out." or "I wish I knew what it's like to be on the other side with the Europeans... I'm tired of being stomped upon every single waking moment of my life." stuff like that to really add to the emotional weight of discrimination/genocide/war between cultures at the time. Tools: Throwing knife, rope dart, crossbow (sleep, poison, berserk and explosive bolts unlocked throughout in game, in that order too due to power), blow dart (works the same as crossbow but even quieter and takes longer to load, point is to have the character have a crap load of tools even if two of the same functioning ones, also has shorter range than crossbow so it really makes each tool have a different "approach" to it) flintlock (6 shots/ 6 guns upon max upgrade because why not?), Napoleonic grenades (have the lore be that the mayor, governor or president had a bunch shipped into D.C and other state capitols after the War of 1812 and have a bunch of surplus sold to gun stores/gunsmiths), hidden blades, lasso (definitely useful to pull off enemies on horse cause we need challenging AI on horses just like RDR2), bear traps (basically the landmine/claymore of the game) caltrops (Slows enemies on foot and horses down and hurts them over time, I'd have the radius be ridiculously huge after upgrades that way it can cover a whole road to slow down enemies and hurt them during combat or chases), and the good ol' smoke grenades! Weapons: Knives, hammers, swords, rapiers, crowbars (invented in 1748), cleavers, pitchforks, sickles, scythes (yes, slaves used these tools to harvest, so it makes in-game/in-story sense as why they'd use these weapons) two hand axes, spears (Native Americans gotta be in the game too, ya know?), tomahawks/one hand axes, muskets, knuckle dusters plus the good ol bare fists! New mechanics: 1) Bigger/slower weapons do more damage and are louder while smaller/ quicker weapons are quieter (kind of like GTA5's footsteps appearing on the minimap with blue circles, this Assassins Creed needs something similar with weapon hits, takedowns, movement and have the circles be smaller/larger based upon weapon being used and armor being worn) 2) Heavier armor weighs more and makes you take less damage while using more stamina and makes your footsteps louder, lighter armor grants less resistance to damage obviously and is quieter while weighing less and using less stamina for dodges 3) Return of assassination pigeon coups, templar lairs (or in this case, "clubs"), and evolved ship combat with steamers of the time 4) Brutal ass takedowns, ones that are quick and to the point too as to not slow down the combat. Also, smarter AI that doesn't just stand in the background and wait for you to finish off his buddy in front of him/her! 5) Bolt Action rifle comes out in 1824 and could be used by later game enemies as well as character too during last act of game as a "super/legendary" weapon! 6) Audio/ voice cues from enemies that tell one another their next course/ plan of action. Think of the AI from FEAR where they'd throw a grenade while saying, "FRAG OUT!" or run around to shoot you in the back while shouting, "FLANK HIM!" Similar things could be said by enemies in state of anonymous, suspicious and full-blown detected. Anonymous is when they'd just talk about the city and things going on in general, some NPC enemies could talk good about the rebellion while others talk bad about it, kind of like how Fallout or Skyrim would have NPCs reacting to the recent quests you did, or how Fallout New Vegas would "report" your actions over the radio, hell, Ubisoft has done this already in Watchdogs after each story mission result being displayed over the TVs and radios. Suspicious is when they'd say Skyrim-esque lines like, "Was that the wind, or did I hear something move over there?" or "Did I just see someone in that bush there?" or "I swore I saw something moving on the roof!" stuff like that. Detected is where they'd do what they already do which is taunt you, however, I'd make the taunts especially nasty with some of the racist slurs or super fucked up taunts like, "You're going down darky!", "Should've stayed in chains slave!", or "One numbskull n*gro against all of us? BRING IT BOY!" (this would all work really well for the player to actively hate the enemies and wish to kill them that much more!) Side Activities: Plantation Raids, Assassination coups, Templar lairs/clubs, five finger fillet, poker, blackjack (yes, these games were around at this time), liars dice, horse racing, banjo and harmonica showdowns, hunting, fishing, log rolling competition, gator wrestling competition, noodling competition (basically sticking your hand into mud holes to catch catfish), "stalking" which would be a tailing mission but make it actually rewarding with good loot and a fun fight at the end and I'd connect it to "The Templar Hierarchy" by giving you clues (which would be like The Order chart from AC Valhalla where you find clues throughout the game to narrow down target locations across the map), and pirating which would be where the ship combat comes into play ;), treasure maps left by pirates along the coast and natives pushed out over the years, Native American burial ground eagle vision puzzles (each one rewards you a shaped key that makes up another puzzle which challenges you to recreate a rough mosiac of a Native American symbol that unlocks a hidden temple with late game armor, giving you the classic buff of either "more health" or "deflects bullets"), bar brawls/ fight clubs, oh and the classic "dueling" where each man takes 12 long paces away from one another then takes a shot at one another!

No. No. The Mauryan Empire is best for AC India. The conquest of Alexander the Great to Subcontinent and rise of Chandragupta Maurya with help of "Chanakya" (Who was mastermind in politics, strategy, diplomacy, espionage, assassination techniques and training) . The setting could explore vast areas like Nanda Empire to far west Greco-Indian empire in Afghanistan. It may also go to " Emperor Ashoka" The grandson of founder of Mauryan Empire. The protagonist could be one of assassin helping the King against corrupt Nanda Empire at same time helping dismantling the Alexander's troops from inside in north-west India. Many possibilities. Great time for espionage and assassinations. Vishkanya (Poison girl) These were women used as assassins, against powerful enemies, during the times of the Ancient India. Their blood and bodily fluids were purportedly poisonous to other humans, and was mentioned in Arthashastra, written by Chanakya during Chandragupta era. The prosperous rich never explored hidden (from modern world) history is before the invasions of Turko-mongols and other similar constant loots of the Wealthy subcontinent. Another great setting could be Gupta Empire. The time of absolute Golden Age. Samudragupta rose to power around 350ce as the Emperor of the Gupta Empire. Nearly doubling the empire in size, he led dozens of military victories conquering local kingdoms and tribal oligarchies throughout Northern India and spread his influence through Kalinga to the south. Some inscriptions allege that he never lost a battle in his 25 years of conquests. It would definitely seem plausible that he had a PoE and we could attempt to bring down his army by killing generals. Or maybe Samudragupta was actually an assassin ally and we could ally with him to remove Templar power structures from the petty kingdoms around Northern India. There’s a ton of potential for a storyline here. Another cool setting exploring Naval combats (ACIV like) would be South Indian Kingdoms like Pandya, Cholas etc. Chola Empire can be used for setting in Sri Lanka and South India including occasional visits to Southeast Asian islands by Ships. Great time too for espionage, assassinations and naval combats.

My issue with the Japan vs Mongol idea is it would just be Ghost of Tsushima & would be critiqued like the new AC. What AC is is Templar vs Assassin, theres a lesser known period in history about Portugal and Japan, thats what we need, Templar vs Assassin, like AC4, the Templar & Assassin creeds come from Portugal, the Assassins adopt Japan & become ninjas or something (I am pretty ignorant to Asian history, sorry).

An Assassin’s Creed game set during the Philippine Revolution 1896-1898 against imperial Spain would be incredible. The religious persecution of Muslim and indigenous peoples of the Philippines in the hands of Spain and the Catholic Church plus the emergence of the secretive Katipunan revolutionary forces has the makings for an interesting conflict in the dense jungles of the Philippine islands where guerilla warfare reigned supreme. Plus, with Spanish colonialism, there was plenty of Spanish architecture built in the Philippines that could still offer verticality akin to Unity’s Paris.

While a Aztec Assassin's Creed game would be really cool, it would just be difficult to implement it into a Assassin's Creed game, first of all America is largely unknown to Europeans at the time, this could of course be solved by setting it in a later time period when the Spanish were searching for gold in the America's during Christopher Colombus' time period. And maybe the assassin's travel with Christopher Colombus and recruit an Aztec warrior to the hidden ones, and that Aztec warrior is the main character that you play as, kind of like Assassin's Creed Unity.

Defenitely for the Aztec empire, but I wanted to add that we have seen so few countries which have a lot of great history or historic moments e.g. setting in Rusdia during the time of the Decembrist revolution (Russian revolution of 1905 would be too recent), Polish uprisings, we could have it set in Germany, or some other countries I mean for me those two especially brutal full of blood perfect opprtunities for stealth and for action combat scenes so a mixture with maybe also some cinematic shots like they once did with the runs, because in a revolution there are needs for stealth, plenty of needs to do other things, plus a great opportunity to bring back assassin recruitment, and even though it's reletively unheard of that's a good thing, it's a great time which is relitively unknown so a game like AC could teach some history and it has the most amount of freedom by being one of the first on the scene, anyway for me definitely including more countries as well plus it's set in Europe (the one in Russia not anytime in the future but eventually it could make a cool place and time is all I'm saying treating history as history and for now taking out the prejudice just as a hypothetical place I don't know 45 years after everything has ended and they've lost these aren't going to be done recently anyway plus it's a hypothetical if anything)

A game that’s sorta a inverted version of rogue, you start off as a young Templar and witness the grandmaster utilize an apple of Eden to control the people around, you steal the apple from the grandmaster and defect to the assassins, throw some extra stuff in all that and put it in any time and get a mission style like mirage mixed with unity, a similar control scheme closer to the older games with clean animations so ur not just slashing and parrying like with the newer games, a proper working parkour system close to unity’s but maybe toned down enough to where it doesn’t feel clunky and I think Ubisoft will be back on track with this series
