Hey Sis I’m in Texas, zone 8B. These are some great tips. Better believe the caterpillars are waiting. I still haven’t started any brassicas yet because this weather is so unpredictable. Last year I used a combination of tulle fabric and pop up netting to keep pests at bay. I also interplanted onions with my leafy greens and had great success. Wishing you a happy gardening season.🥰

Awesome information. It never occurred to me to consider rinsing the soil block away from the root bound plant as a precautionary measure. Awesome info, indeed. BTW, I actually visited the farm store and discovered they too carried a huge variety of bulk seed. I was like a child in a candy store, lol. They are soooooo creepy and they go from 0-hundreds overnight 😩 I fought them this year, but last year was so overwhelming with them. This year I put ladybugs out and watched them feast 😈😏

I've started putting netting over all my young plants. I have had caterpillar issues, but the snails have been the worst! I also wrap tulle around the pots to keep them from climbing up into the pots. I grow most things in containers.

Wrapping the pot with tulle is a good Idea! Either cover the whole pot or gather it in a long bunch and wrap it around the top rim of the pot! It does keep squirrels from climbing into the pot and eating plants. That worked for me. I thought the rabbits were managing to hop into the pots but saw the squirrel. Moore damage! Best of luck!!

Whenever you buy starts you should always quarantine them for at least a week and treat the dirt with DE and spray the plants with BT. I’ve dealt with aphids, red spider mites and mealy bugs from starts from diff places. One time it was in my greenhouse I got rid of it quickly. Bottom watering only.

Add Neem OIl to your planting soil or you can just spray them on the plants...it's all natural and you will have no bugs or gnats. They hate the NEEM Oil...but it wont harm your harvest. I was surprised it actually works! Hope that helps😇

My home depot and lowes had NOTHING but old tomato plants.I have things growing plus i some plugs i ordered. I just thought i could pick up some extra things.Florida stores get on my nerves not having crops.Its nuts because im in north Florida and SHOULD be able to find collards, cauliflower, cabbage etc until at least oct or longer.I noticed the stores in my area start preparing for Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving stuff to early. Ugh!

Cover your bed with a net that was dug into! I found out that a neighborhood cat was digging in my planters whenever it was just seedlings freshly sowed. They may use your veggie or flower bed as a potty! 🤢🤮 I had to reseed a few containers the past summer when I direct sowed and started putting netting down until the seeds sprouted up , then I didn’t have any digging issues any longer. Smh. 🤦🏽‍♀️ You can’t win between the insects, catapillars, moths, squirrels, cats, deer , birds ect it’s a jungle out in the garden! 😅😂

You really hadn’t thought much about the latest iPhone until you see a commercial or billboard with the sleekest looking cellular device you’ve ever seen in your life! Plus your buddy got the same phone! You ditch your 8 for the latest. Say you driving a 2008. You see a commercial advertising the prettiest ride you didn’t know you even wanted! Bye 2008! These are scenarios of a lesser nature of seriousness regarding manipulation, but you get the idea. The devil often uses manipulation to plant seeds in our heart of a more serious nature. You got a Sally at home, but the enemy manipulates your mind to believe that Jane is who you need. Bye Sally. You got a Pete at the house, but the enemy manipulates your mind to believe that Romeo will fit you better. Bye Pete. You got $75 dollars in your pocket, but the enemy manipulates your mind to believe that you can double or triple that at the dice game. Bye $75 for my light bill. The list is endless. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be better in life, but we best consider what we be doing, because the devil is real and it is his aim to take us down. We live in a real world full of all kinds of crap and if we don’t have Jesus, we slap messed up! And that’s the “slap me in the face so I can wake up truth!”🙏🏽
