Regarding the end, GTA Underground is a similar mod, but for GTA SA. It packs in all the maps from GTA 3, Vice City, SA, Bully and Manhunt complete with soundtracks, peds, weapons, vehicles and weather from the respective games. Like if you fly to Vic City you'll only get GTA VC radio stations etc etc

Back when me and a bunch of friends used to fight over whose turn it was after our two minutes were up or just having one friend over and staying up all night trying to beat the new Tony hawk game 100 percent while trading off the controller when one of us couldn't complete a task or when our timer ran out. NIKMOE if you were interested in looking at similar projects, there's also Streets Of Rage Remix, it's Streets of Rage 1-3 in one game, you can play as characters from SOR1 with all the improvements of the sequels, go down branching paths to play a map in a different game, or tweak the gameplay to match your favorite game. It's hard to describe in a comment, but basically it's got everything great about the 3 games in one. It's also one of the few fan projects to get a C&D from Sega, probably because it makes playing the original 3 games moot.

What I loved about THPS games were the challenges and missions in each level. Finding all the secrets and interacting with the funny NPCs (specifically THPS 3, 4 and THUG 1, 2). It's a shame this mod doesn't include that however I'll definitely be checking this out just for the sake of having all the levels and community levels!

I actually quit the game last year after growing bored of it. There's only so many times I could stand to see the same people do the same crazy combos on the same handful of maps anyone ever picked but after seeing this I think it's time I headed back and see how things have changed. (I really hoped things have changed because honestly if I have to play on college again I'm going to go crazy.)

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is still my favorite skating game. I really like going through the career mode, collecting skate, getting the high scores and the various other small objectives throughout the levels. It's what's kept me coming back to the game to replay it. I've been turned off by ThugPro as i tried THPS4 online back in the day on PS2 and i got wrecked. I need the objectives to keep me interested, but that's just me :)

I'm in a similar boat. Prior to ThugPro my go to was replaying all the objectives of Tony Hawk 3 in an emulator on PC. What changed my mind on Thug Pro were the levels that let you complete all the gaps, it gave me something to actually do besides freeskate.

A couple of days ago someway, somehow, a coworker of mine were talking about this game and reminiscing. I unplugged my ps4 and dusted off my ps3 to see if I could find it on the store. To my dismay, my ps3 couldnt even play ps2 games and I couldnt find it on the store. Curious as to other ways of playing this, I wiki searched the game and lo and behold, next to the psp version(which doesn't have the level editor) was THUG Pro. I fucking loved this game as a kid and playing it again as an adult and making levels again, god I love this game so much. And the soundtrack 👌 👌 🔥

Same type of mod was released for Pro Skater 3 though it wasn't on such a large scale. It included all of the pro skater(1-4) maps including maps such as oil rig and paris which were never released on pc. It's called levelmod(released by demo and vadru) for anyone wondering and you can find it on chapter-3.net , a site which has been used by the community for years. Shame that the gamespy servers are down for the last couple of years, the only way to get online now is to get 'openspy'. Though even after that you probably wont see anyone online unless you're lucky :)

I hate that everyone doesn't realize how good proving ground actually is. The animations were so well done and everything with extremely smooth. The levels were good and the special tricks were great and didn't look overly dramatic (roast beef and guitar hero being some of my favorites) the nail the tri k system allowed further airs and the sound track (though different) was so good.

Ayy. Me and some others have come from the future to say that there's a remake/remaster of THPS1+2. It looks amazing and is made by trusted people, Vicarious Visions. Same people that did Crash Bandicoot N'Sane Trilogy. We've all got faith in it thus far and if it does well, we'd hope to get a new series of Pro Skater and Underground games

I think my main issue with Thug Pro that keeps me from playing it is the fact that I play the Tony Hawk games for the career mode. The missions and the skate letters and so on, so i never really had much interest in Thug Pro, sadly. I kinda wish they'd add goals to each of the levels you can do or even just go the simpler route and give every level the goals they had in the original games or something.

Can't believe you completely failed to mention like the biggest thing that is keeping this game alive: online play. Various game modes, also pretty much every single commonly exploited glitch from previous installments in the franchise HAS BEEN SCRIPTED INTO IT and you can enable or disable them yourself. The game pretty much revolves around high scoring while also using glitch tricks like boostplants and buttslaps to get more air and keep the combo going (also, when you do rolls with your air tricks, you score a shitpile of points). I've met a lot of great people in the online games as well. The community is amazing. Also, the pro skaters in THUGPRO are kind of a bonus thing instead of a focal point, it's designed with the use of your own custom skater in mind as option number one. With a CAS you automatically get max stats so that also means that everyone is equal stat-wise online. Brand new high quality textures for griptapes, decks, trucks and wheels have been brought into the game. Also, the sky is pretty much the limit for what you can create, I mean I've bumped into people skating as the likes of Marge Simpson, Shrek, Super Mario and many other ridiculous ones. They're all CAS's made in the game. There's all sorts of CAS's available for download on the community site as well if you're too lazy to make your own.

the only addition thug pro needs from me to be a perfect game is deck choosing like in the pro skater series. that feature isn't present in any of the other entries in the franchise. maybe i'm just picky, but i like skateboard art and i don't wanna use the same deck every time i load up a level
