It's been close to 40 years since I was at the Geronimo surrender monument. I really like that area of AZ. I had intended to spend time there but it seems that time has slipped away. Now that I finally have a rig that I can explore with, my body is weathered and worn and I spend more time watching videos like this one to appreciate the places that are difficult to go to. I don't want to come across like I'm whining, but life sure has a way of slipping away without noticing. Your videos are great and show me what I should be doing whenever I am able. Thanks for doing what you do. I love the drone shots that you include in your videos.

You've shown me the Chiricahuas that I've never seen before. And I love the squeaks, moans and groans that the trucks make as they crawl over and around rocks and berms. Great mountaintop campsites with amazing views, beautiful; so was the sunset. Thank you for yet another great video.

Your knowledge and hard work is amazing of how much history you know about our great southwest, you've always been a history buff. I've always loved that mountain range. Spent a few summers up there with my buddy growing up during the summer months at their cabin in Paradise. Flag hill and silver peak were great areas for hunting whitetail. Also loved the Turkey creek area, and the wild apple orchard. Love you. Pa...❤

I frequently watch your channel while on the treadmill on a TV that I don't control, and this sometimes prevents me from giving you a thumbs-up or a comment. But please be assured that I always enjoy your segments - even if I can't comment. This one has been exceptional - I haven't been in the Chiracahuas in decades, but my brothers and I have been trying to do more winter camping in the desert, and your vid has me thinking that's a good spot to start. Hi Cody! Really good videography of some spectacular, remote mountain beauty! Happy to see you back out in your Tundra! I missed the launch of this video, I'm out exploring Idaho... wishing about now I had a lighter 30 MPG SUV for that... the 9500 pound Dodge is getting it done, but it's less than ideal for these long distance road trips, and not exactly what I built it for... but i'm making it work. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do... I think you'd love it here, although I think both our hearts and souls are in Arizona... Still, hard to regret exploring and adventuring more of God's creation... Take care, be safe, and happy Adventures! Bill

Regarding the locked gates and private land in the middle of the NF, I've got the same gripe. I live in the midwest and go into the NF of northern WI and the U.P. of Mich. I run into the same issues. It really irritates me than the gov't has / is selling off these plots of land that then become off limits. I run down many trails that turn out to be gated. Can see that trails continue deep into the forest but cannot access.
@Whitedogoverland2 ай бұрын
It’s such a pain in the ass, such a trivial complaint I have with so much public land out here but heck how can one 1/4 acre parcel restrict traffic, a land locked parcel must have ingress and egress, but not when it’s public land? Can’t help but question that

It’s okay to think that but this dog is my best friend, goes to work with me every day, spend 90% or ever day and every hour with her. I communicate with her in a very direct way. She understands me very well as her breed requires firmness to the address of commands. If this is your assumption after only one video I plead you to watch more!

@@Whitedogoverland The Great Pyrenees is a breed that exhibits a unique combination of characteristics, including independence, intelligence, and a protective nature. While it is true that they require a certain type of relationship with their owners, the idea that they need a direct or unkind approach is not accurate. Characteristics of the Great Pyrenees Temperament: Great Pyrenees are generally known for their calm, gentle, and affectionate demeanor. They are often described as "gentle giants" who are patient and kind, especially with children and other animals1 4 5 . Their temperament is characterized by loyalty and a strong instinct to protect their family. Independence: This breed was originally developed to guard livestock in mountainous regions, which has contributed to their independent nature. They can be somewhat stubborn and may not respond well to harsh training methods. Instead, they thrive under positive reinforcement techniques that respect their sensitivity3 4 5 . Training Needs: Due to their independent streak, training a Great Pyrenees can be challenging. They benefit from early socialization and consistent, gentle training methods. A relationship based on mutual respect and understanding is crucial for effective training6 7 . Relationship Dynamics While the owner in the video may believe that a direct command style is necessary for this breed, it's essential to recognize that Great Pyrenees respond best to kindness and patience. They are not typically suited for harsh or unkind treatment. Instead, establishing a bond built on trust will yield better results in obedience and behavior management. In conclusion, while the Great Pyrenees does require clear commands due to its independent nature, an unkind or overly direct approach is not conducive to their well-being or effective training. A nurturing relationship will foster better cooperation and companionship with this majestic breed.
