Would love to turn my FARR #3 over but still haven’t been able to acquire the hardware to run TMCC or legacy but hopefully I will get there eventually. Too cool. I sold my Duplex because it was Proto 1. I think it's a crime the new MTH doesn't make proto 3 upgrade kit available. You can't even buy a boiler mux board and I have 3 engines that need them. I am going to buy a Legacy system to add to my layout.

Hey Sid, did you do this upgrade or was it Bruk? Bruk always does great work but if this is your upgrade it's awesome!!Having another person who can do the Legacy upgrades with 3D printed braces and such is definitely needed. I wish I had a mind for electronics but I don't. It's great that you do.

I feel the same way about Protosound. I'll buy Proto 2, 3 volt and Proto 3. I try to not buy Proto 2, 5 volt. Too many board problems and you can't get parts or even Proto 3 upgrade kits. And just so everyone knows; MTH Proto 3 upgrade kits are not like MTH factory built Proto 3. The circuit boards are different.

I just can't get on board with the huge gap between the engine and tender, especially since the REAL T1 had no visible gap at all! My (original run) BLI HO has a very close-coupled tender...why the O gauge manufacturers can't do that is beyond me. Some of my ho models even have an "extending" drawbar that actually lengthens going around curves, and returns to close coupling on straights. Why don't they do that on O gauge? Maybe O gaugers are more into "TOYS"? They should do that on their passenger cars as well! Passengers would have to learn how to POLE VAULT just to go from one car to the other! 🤣
