When I imported the Gravat2 from China to Singapore, there was warranty worry and shipping cost like you mentioned. However, I was relieved that the Gravat2 lasted for 2 seasons before I upgraded to a used Neo prior to the release of the T300... Generally, I have great communication with the Magene team via email and would not hesitate to buy the T300 only if the Neo kaput first.

Another great video. I like when you said about Wahoo nicking the drive belt design. I've got a beautiful and stylish set of Toseek integrated mtb bars on my flat bar road bike which I've never seen by any other major brand. Anyway that leads me to my question. The brands I see all over ebay 'Toseek and EC90' do you know anything about them? Are they considered quality? Putting Toseek handlebars on my road bike is one thing but the abuse my mountain bike is going to get, handlebars are quite important 😂😂

Just got my wife a T300. As suggested on this video we did a calibration by riding it above 100w for 30 mins (my wife isn't exactly a strong cyclist so it's hard for her to get to 160w). Then did the spin down as per the Magene Utility App all is good and successful. Tried pairing it with TrainerRoad for a usual Endurance workout and had a very hard time getting to the required wattage (only 130w-140w). I'll get there for 1-2 seconds and then drop to 80w-90w. It got to a point I am at the heaviest gear and still only getting 100w at most. Any suggestions how to properly calibrate the T300. We were also comparing the power readin with the Vector 2 on ym wife's bike and the reading was also off. No where near the power accuracy you showed in the video.

Honestly, not a huge loss... you're better off with a wahoo or a zwift or another "budget" smart trainer. Avoid the T300. Nobody outside China is missing a great product. I've owned this trainer now for about a year. I bought it as a way to keep active during the lockdowns here in Shanghai in 2022. Within the one-year warranty period, it has gone back to the factory for repairs at least 3 times. The power supply adapter was changed once and the mother board has been changed twice. I'm not sure the ERG function really works as "true" ERG. maybe the issue is with my unit, specifically or with the design of the T300. Magene claims that their ERG feature simply provides a "range" and the rider should work to keep steady power by keeping cadence (and speed stead), lol. So maybe their definition of ERG is different than the rest of the world, but that's their story and they're sticking to it, but in my view, swings and spikes of 20-30% or more are not / should not be a normal thing. They also claimed that the instability of the power (resistance) of the unit, in my case, is related to the variation of the power (current) coming out of the electrical socket in the room where I ride, and they suggested I try different rooms... comical response, but, unfortunately quite typical of the lack of competence within their technical customer service team. In short, I would not recommend this unit, at least not before testing it to make sure that the ERG mode operation is what you need / expect. If you are thinking about buying it just for "free rides" on virtual riding platforms like Zwift or Ruve or whatever, then I supposed it doesn't matter whether the ERG works or not. So... if you're outside China, avoid this brand / model. I'd actually say the same if you're in China, tbh. There are other products on the market that work *much* better and are more robust in design (software) and offer pretty good customer service. Magene and the T300 fail on all those counts.
