enjoyed the video, fyi, try using Lock-tight on the bottom screw.you can get it at Home Depot. they have mild to super tight. its meant for anything the vibrates and fluctuates in temps such as bolts in a car engine. keep up the great work.

And if you're in the field it's good to know you can think your way out of a problem. So far I haven't had the guts to make my own slider I've been contemplating it for a while

Been using this tripod for a while. Main issue is the Bowl Mount isnt strong enough. It gives out a lot, and if you're shooting in a cold environment, the tripod becomes useless

I haven't had that issue. How big a rig are you using on it? You might have a defective set of sticks.

Just a g85 on it. It seems like the resistance for tilts is to high, and when it gets really cold, the resistance gets even higher, and the bowl mount just gives out.

Great but after you had it for about 2 years watch out for them legs buckling. I was told to buy a new one when I inquired about the warranty. So it is a great product until the legs wear out on you. And it is no way to fix them or fall back on your warranty. I need something that will last. Because I was fortunate each time my camera felt it didn't break. Why risk an 80d over an under $100 tripod. I guess I should stop saying it is great. Oh wow 3 years later I am posting this. lol
