It is troll cup of the day. Every first of the month in Trackmania, the developers put in a troll map to let the community have their fun. The memers, and the dreamers. And, it's called "Forgotten Ice". What is this? I think it's freewheeling ice. And the thing about this is uhmmm... You can not ice slide. It's probably just wall-bangs. Let the map cook here, I think it's actually troll. K, cars on. How bad could it be? Uh, yeah. Nice! Now, this is kinda cool though. They banned wall-bangs in the competitive league. You can not hit walls in Trackmania Grand League or you will be punished. But you can just crash every wall in Cup of the Day. They, in fact, encourage it. And skip the slow-mo at the end, okay. Wait. How are you going to gain meaningful time? You can maybe use the new ice wiggle here, but it's all about speed preservation. We're already kinda too fast for it. I think I can do very well on this map. And you can even do small speed slides. Like, though... Oh God. Uhmmm... Though the car is like still with icy tires, sliding is faster. I'm pretty sure. Amazing map. So a few things to pay attention to if you're playing this map right now; At under 400 speed you do not want the car to slide, so you have to cancel sliding as soon as possible. When you get faster though, you want to encourage it. Also, try and get as smooth as possible into the walls. I just lost nine speed in the first one. But I'm gonna gain here I think. 'Cause that was good. Okay. There's actually a lot of skill to this. I'm 11 speed behind already. Okay, wait... Am I a division one player? Oh, is it because I'm not steering? But yeah, I think you have to steer away from the wall... To gain speed. It very much so looks like it on speed splits. That was nasty. The last wall crushed my dreams. K, I'm gonna quickly check world record. I am in desperation here, I need somethin'. Show me. Bad speed. I'm faster. K, that was clean. Okay, that was very clean. Okay, that was extremely clean. Okay, he's 50 speed up here. It's just speed, it's just speed. How does he do the end though? Very Sharp right before the wall. Okay. Okay, wow. I'm stressing. I think we can get there. K, we're like division five. We have five minutes left. It should be fine. Oop. Oh, that's bad. Dude, I'm like 50 speed down here. That end trick worked, and then this last one. Yeah, I'm faster on the last one. Okay. Right. Okay. This is tough. I like this map though. It's one of the better troll Cup of the Days. Oooooh, 10th! I just needed to figure out the last two entries. Should be division one. Okay. I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick and we end top 30 qualifier, pretty good. Let's see what the knock-outs have to offer. My, oh my. Division one, troll Cup of the Day. Who do we have? Some friends, some competitors. "We're not friends, Wirtual. We're colleagues". Also Elensar, if I beat you then uhh... Maybe I get a discount on this video? Maybe we canb say like, "hey, 50% off if I... If I win." Buckley, you're editing this one? Oh. It has to be enough, right? Oh no... I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Okay. Yeah, I decided to continue that even though I was nervous about it. And it worked out. You can make the call to respawn, or you can make the call to continue, but... Made the right call. We're still in. Keep in mind, like, the people still in are tired mentally. You play this map for 20 rounds in a row, trying not to crash, you get tired. It is very intense 'cause you have to stare at the turns to not have any off-angle. Think that's why you're seeing so many mistakes. Including myself. Crashing. There's no excuse. No! I took the check-- oh no... I took the... Oh no! I think this is the end. Yep. I was noticing it though. Damn, top 12? For a troll Cup of the Day. For a troll Cup of the Day where historically, I played awful, I haven't won them, I haven't even played past two rounds... I will take it and mark my words, March first I'm gonna win. Into the top two. Twist has won on ice I believe. He has a second place only? Oh, he hasn't won before. K, torille tavataan! Twist, we're rooting for you! Little bit worse start. Less speed than Granady. Gets the wall-bang slightly better. This entry, oh yeah it's fast. He is fast. He has the fast! Twist, coming back. Catching up to Granady, last turn! Can he defeat him? Entry into the wall, he's still ahead! Last entry! Twiiiiist! don'tmissthejump. Granady went for the low jump, but it's not enough. Twist takes it. I think that was his first win. Very impressive. Very cool Cup of the Day. I finally did pretty well. Buckley didn't get paid a lot for this video, so if you can promote it uhmm... Lot of reasons why this is a troll map, but the main reason is it's a "keyboard only" map. With pad or wheel, you literally can't go under 32 secs. Granady even drove it on keyboard to have a chance. This is totally unfair and frustrating for the community to have such a map as COTD (1st if the month or not), hence why I call this the main reason for this map to be a "troll".
